Well - I think you have been treated appallingly indie by your
Dr & Surgery re your meds. Absolutely unbelievable!!!


I'm with sheils on this, surely 'if' Dr couldn't get hold of you
from June, a letter should have been sent to your home
address! Would love to get a glimpse of their phone records -
sounds a feeble excuse to me - very iffy!


Only just read your post this morning - not only did they have
your mobile fone number but also house fone number and yet
'apparently' still couldn't get through to you ...... I really find
the whole situation/poor excuses (from their end) appalling.
This sort of thing really makes my blood boil.

On another note ..... bet your son & girlfriend thoroughly
enjoyed the Lion King. I went to see it with family a couple of
years ago and thought it was brilliant. :T In fact we loved it
so much that we went again!

Good Morning,


The sun has finally decided to come out here!
Been busy helping DD investigate best way to get a nearly new car.
She has been saving for last few years so we will loan her the rest as she is really adding the miles on to her bfs car with her placements and uni.
Hate buying cars, always feel like we are being mugged! Haggle like mad but always wonder if could have done better.


Such a shame your son and gf didn't get sightseeing indie. Must admit I try to keep out of cities on Saturdays. Glad they enjoyed the show.


Expect you will have another busy day planned Alfie.

Been to Dr's, she asked why i was there!..gobsmacked.When i said she ignored the question about not knowing she wanted a review. She said as she was new and my Dr had been in the surgery for 35 years he knew all his patients,she was just getting to know them. She asked me to explain why i needed the meds then pushed a button and out popped the prescription. No "sorry for not letting you have them ect" but i now have my meds and they should kick in soon.

Glad you finally got your meds indie. I don't take any myself but DH does and although not for pain it is annoying when they mess his up. Must be 100 times worse when they are for pain!

So pleased that you got your prescription in the end
indie. What a rude Dr though! Very much doubt that she
has a sympathetic bedside manner. :eek: Still, at least you
have the meds now & I hope that you're no longer in so
much pain. :A


Hope you manage to find a decent car for DD sheils. I'm
with you and indie - always worried about being ripped
off!


Thankfully my family clubbed together (a couple of years
ago) & surprised me one Xmas with a lovely little second
hand car! It's still in excellent condition and I haven't
had any problems so far (touch wood)!


It's also an automatic which is brilliant - always love
driving automatics. :j Plus, there's a retired mechanic,
(living nearby) who happily takes care of servicing, MOTs
etc. which keeps the costs down. Happy days!


Well, gotta fly, family aren't due to arrive until much later
this evening but still have to get fresh provisions in,
make up beds etc.

Hope you have great time with family Alfie.


I have had toothache and am heading to dentist in an hour. Told him there was something wrong with that tooth when I was at check up in summer and he said it was fine. Seeing different dentist today and it is really sore so hope he can do something quickly. Never had toothache before.

Ouchie i feel for you sheils as i had toothache a few times and although i have a high pain threshold i always said i would rather give birth than have toothache again. Let's hope the dentists sort you out.
It's nice to be pain free again now i have my meds, but i will make sure that don't happen again. It's my son's birthday today and he has gone into our local town to treat himself to a few things. We are going to the local Beefeater tonight for a meal so looking forward to that. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hello folks. I'm back lol. Did some decorating in house then booked a last minute deal to Barcelona and had a fab sight seeing and relaxing break. Been home a couple of days now and I am really feeling the cold so heating is on for good at the moment. Did an online shop this morning and it is being delivered later today. Will read back to see what everyone has been up to. Hope I find you all well.
