    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok. :) I'm guessing that many may have heard
of the 'Smalls for All' charity. :A I recently read a snippet about
their work on Facebook & wanted to share .....

    76633d48-57ed-11e6-804c-0050562e2691_001.jpg?cache_buster=2016-08-01-14-44-22

    Welcome

Smalls for All is a Scottish Charity which collects and distributes
underwear to help women and children in Africa. We help those
living in orphanages, slums, IDP camps and schools, as well as
providing underwear to hospitals to help those suffering from
    medical conditions like obstetric fistula.

    Smalls-for-all-image-e1526048649550.jpg

Through ongoing discussions with the partners and distributors we
regularly work with in Africa and greater knowledge and awareness
of the challenges they are facing, we also established an education
programme. This supports some of the poorest children in
countries where we have a presence, helping them to access
    education.

    Maria Macnamara MBE – Founder

    Pantometer

19 October 2018 Thanks to you, we’ve collected 828,718 items of
underwear and distributed 733,818. Could you add to our pile of
    pants?

    image2.jpeg

If you’d like to donate underwear, here’s the brief:

    image11.jpg

All you have to do is buy a packet of ladies’ or children’s pants and
send them to us. They must be new and while we collect all sizes,
those we need the most are for children aged 3-15 or ladies size
8-16. And while we collect all colours, the ladies’ pants in greatest
demand are black – in full brief, mini or high leg.

    download-1.jpg

We also accept new or ‘gently worn’ bras which can be any size,
including sports and nursing bras, but not teen, cropped-top style
    or bikini tops.

    Sending donations

If you’re able to include a small donation of £3 to help us with our
work, that would be pantastic too. Donating a little more like this
means that together we can help so many more people.

Or to give online click here. And if you’re able to Gift Aid your
donation you can make an even bigger difference.

    Please send your smalls to:

    Smalls for All
    108 Buchanan Crescent,
    Eliburn, Livingston, EH54 7EF
    United Kingdom.

    Or you can order online

We’ve set up an Amazon wish list for new pants, so you can order
online and have them delivered directly to Smalls for All if that’s
easier. Go to our Amazon wish list.

    Order online >

    Thank you

We really are indebted to each and every person who makes an
underwear or financial contribution to support the work of Smalls
for All. Without your generosity and kindness we wouldn’t be able
to carry on. Please know that we value each and every donation
and that your help is making a difference. Data protection
regulations introduced in May 2018 make it harder for us to
publish the names of individual donors, but when we thank all our
supporters in our monthly updates on our website, that includes
    you.

Morning. Yes, it’s turned cold here too Indie. Well done on your Deep Freeze win. First of all I thought it was food for your freezer! Lo much better to help with your pain.

I won some things while GKs were here including a heat pad and some earphones. I hid the earphones as keeping for DSs birthday. I must look back to thank the posters.

Alfie thanks for the links. Very interesting about the small for all. There are people out there doing amazing things to help others. Great you had a brilliant time with GDs they are a very interesting age.

Euronorris your work sounds really interesting. Well done and good luck with next exams.

Hi cityisland good luck with comping.

Firefly it’s good to hear from you. It’s hard tofind the right balance to keep warm with the change in weather as it has been warm for so long.

Sheils pleased you missed the snow. Heard there had been some

Yesterday we went out for breakfast to a neighbouring town centre. I thought of how Sylvia said they used to go out for breakfast and enjoy it.
We went to a Cafe Rouge and it wasn’t as good as I expected but pleasant surroundings and we had an interesting chat with a lady by herself at the next table. It was a really sunny bright and breezy morning.

Hope everyone has a good and lucky week

Just been to tip to get rid of garden rubbish.Taking DS to his hobby group later and his GF has gone to her friends for a couple of days, they celebrate halloween big style by dressing up and going to town ect. It's not our thing so we stay well out of it,lol. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    Hi all,

We are home again! Had nice time and although cold it was mainly sunny so fine for walking. We went to Seaton Carew, Whitby and Seaham which are all by the sea . Lovely scenery with huge waves coming in to beautiful beaches. Whitby was also gearing up to Halloween with lots of people dressed up in Victorian costumes and Goths etc. It was a bit busy though. DH always insists on us climbing the 199 steps up to the church and Abbey (Dracula references) to make sure we are still as fit as before!
DD bringing her new car up to show us when she gets back from placement and then we are getting fish and chips later. Got wash hung out and some in drier.

Your job sounds interesting Euro. Good Luck with the next exams. It will be hard work with a young daughter to look after too.

Never heard of that charity Alfie. Glad you had fun with your family.

Never had breakfast in Cafe Rouge leanfun but do like their evening meals when using vouchers etc. They are pricey for what you get. Sylvia still goes to Wetherspoons for breakfast.

Well done on prize indie - great that it has gone to someone who will use it.

Anyway must get on. Speak tomorrow.

Sounds like you had a great time Sheils! :)

Thanks for the good luck. It is tough with the little one, but I do have a supportive DH who picks up the slack for me when I'm studying.

Hope everyone is well. Still trying to shift a cold here. It has been bitterly cold outside as well last couple of days. Brrrrr.

    Be lucky! x
