Assuming your Aldi has been refurbished so the new layout of more chiller cabinets: the lamb Rogan Josh is on the front end of the fixture as you walk towards it. In the old store they were at the back near all the other ready meals. So you go into the store, pass veg on the right, then tinned foods, then the chiller cabinets.

Leave some for me because I'm going after football.:)

Thanks, I will leave you a few x

Nicki, we all have to guestimate for eating out but it's surprising where syns can creep in to cooking methods or whatever. id be as careful as you can until next WI.

Good advice. Though my syns don't reset until next Wednesday and we are staying in a hotel this weekend and celebrating my son's 18th so definitely won't be able to have zero syns for a few days :D
  • Afternoon all! Well done everyone who lost & welcome to those that have joined.

Well the chips came back to bite me on the bum and wi saw +1/2lb .

I didn’t stay to class either (probably only about the 3rd time since I joined SW) - as, to be quite frank, I couldn’t be asked.....not the attitude I know but that’s how I felt.

I know I seriously need to plan some meals as this is where I’m falling down - mind you I need to do some shopping as we’ve been running down the freezer (seemed to be putting stuff in there & forgetting about it) so haven’t really shopped since before we went away.

Talking of which tonight’s meal will be a chilli that has been defrosted along with some wine syns.

Thanks for the suggestion about sausages. I'll definitely try the Aldi ones next time I go. Had a good day today, despite lunch out, so going to treat myself to a glass of wine before dinner.

lucia.... dawyldthing beat me to it.... carrots and beetroot are very good to get things moving.... but do not panic if it is orange or red tint to it!

bubbs, I love you with all my heart! x

Good guess, I normally work through feeling ill but could not get myself moving or motivated, whether work or in the house. I slept 11 hours which was lovely, and have done nothing since getting up. But I need to get my head sorted and so some work before Monday.
Thought you must have been ill, hope you are feeling better x
And are the 3x daily, small ones, medium ones, large ones.... or fill the bowl ones!

    Morning all, and welcome cloud88

-3lb for me this week :)

Not really sure what I'll be having today as I need to sit down and do the weeks plans after having shopped yesterday but it'll be something with mince for dinner tonight - probably cottage pie or chilli con carne.

On the topic of plans - do people here do their plans before or after shopping ?

I started off doing mine before so I know what to buy, but then found I ended up having to immediately juggle / re-do it to take account of use-by dates and any special offers/bargains that I had got, so I now tend to wait until after shopping even though it feels the wrong way round...
    :T:T:T:T well done:j
0.5 off this week. I’m a bit disappointed, but a loss is a loss. I’ve taken a SAS lol from group as I’m sure I’m not measuring milk etc and having hidden syns. Fingers crossed for a better loss next week. I think I’ve been too ambitious with my target, but we’ll wait and see x
As you say a loss is a loss, well done:T:T

Hi all, I've been watching this thread for a while but only just felt brave enough to join in, hope that's OK! I've been doing SW for a while but haven't been very good at taking it seriously recently so weight loss plateaued and started going back up again. I've given myself a talking to and determined to get back on it this week so have challenged myself to 3 lb off!

Welcome Cloud88. If you know how much you want to lose by the 4th June I will add you to the spreadsheet

  • Evening all

    Quick update on yesterday before I catch up with the thread;

B - Overnight oats with raspberries and apple
L - LO chicken supreme with broccoli, sugar snaps, green beans and tomatoes
D - Omelette with chicken, ham, onion, peppers, tomatoes with beans and beetroot
Snacks - I suspect I had two days worth of syns as I had a (baked) doughnut from Dum Dum Donutterie. Worth. Every. Bite. I've looked but can't find the calorie content so am assuming 30 syns.

Do people not like the SW's sausages? since starting SW, I have only had these or Quorn sausages (as they do this at a local all you can eat breakfast place.... they also do the best poached eggs in the world).

Had SW sausages once, and think a pool noodle would have a nicer texture. Taste wasn't bad though. If you cooked it in a gravy it probably would be okay.

I plan before shopping, but it is a flexible plan. I plan the meals, but happy to change the nights, or alter meals if there is a good offer. If I didn't plan before shopping I would end up with stuff for too many meals
