Well done, jay, lucia and Whiplashy (for shiny too).

Hello, cloud88, nice to meet you.

Well, I have feasted on maltesers today. I twisted my back when I lost my footing in the snow/ice earlier this week (I had been trying to protect my knee, lol). It hasn’t been that sore really, but the effect of trying to straighten (I’ve been listing to the side) has been tiring and I slept on and off all morning (I was up and dressed at 7.30 in case DGD was off school again today, but she went back). Too lazy to prep food. DH brought home curry fort tea. Back to the drawing board tomorrow. And my back is feeling much better too.

Yes, it is difficult when you feel like that:(
Glad you feel a wee bit better now but take it easy.

Have an embarrassing question...Has anyone had constipation on SW? I've had it for a couple days and I'm drinking plenty of water and coffee which would usually make me go.

Oooh ! Had never heard of Halo Top bust have just googled their website and it sounds scrummy ! Ice cream is my real weakness but have managed to keep to plan so far because it's winter (although in my book it's never really too cold for ice-cream). Where do you get it from ?

Tesco but it is always out of stock! I've been 5 times recently and only once have they had it and I was lucky as guy was just putting it out in freezer! I pounced on the poor man! I did my big food shop tonight and the shelf edge labels say out of stock until 5th Feb. People have been going mad whilst its only £2.50!

Not me - in fact it's made me more regular (pesumably due to an increase in fibre).

Yes. It can happen. I think it's about your body getting used to a new way of eating. Keep drinking the water and plenty of fruit and vegetables.

I've been good tonight and kept away from the wine syns. It was a bit of a struggle especially as I haven't been shopping yet so didn't have much in to munch on instead. I made myself 2 small JPs with cottage cheese and sliced cornichons on top. It was a good distraction and syn free. :D

Carrots turns your wee orange! But they are ideal to wash and throw in a bag to eat when travelling.

I also eat a lot of beetroot.... which turns you wee red! I have this when I am in an office, with salt, pepper and vinegar on... it is rather yummy. Obs. not as yummy as a lovely sandwich dripping in mayo... but ok sort of yummy!

Not just we. My mum earlier in the year had to do a over 60s stool sample and it looks like it was the culprit for the next test :/

Out for lunch and dinner today with two different sets of friends so am a bit over my syns. But as I was under on Wednesday and Thursday hopefully everything has balanced out.

Breakfast: porridge and honey (HEA HEB 3 syns)
Lunch: feta and courgette pie, beetroot salad (guessing 8 syns as made with filo pastry and not too heavy on feta)
Dinner: octopus salad, roast pork, few spoonfuls polenta with cheese, spinach, one potato, shared a piece of almond tart with rhubarb. I'm guessing about 10 syns for the polenta and just a few bites of tart

I may be way out with my guesses of course but nothing felt very fatty or heavy and my portions were small. Still doing Dry January so stuck to mineral water

Hi all, I've been watching this thread for a while but only just felt brave enough to join in, hope that's OK! I've been doing SW for a while but haven't been very good at taking it seriously recently so weight loss plateaued and started going back up again. I've given myself a talking to and determined to get back on it this week so have challenged myself to 3 lb off!

    Morning all, and welcome cloud88

-3lb for me this week :)

Not really sure what I'll be having today as I need to sit down and do the weeks plans after having shopped yesterday but it'll be something with mince for dinner tonight - probably cottage pie or chilli con carne.

On the topic of plans - do people here do their plans before or after shopping ?

I started off doing mine before so I know what to buy, but then found I ended up having to immediately juggle / re-do it to take account of use-by dates and any special offers/bargains that I had got, so I now tend to wait until after shopping even though it feels the wrong way round...
