Good to hear you're feeling more comfortable kathrynha. When do you go back to see the consultant?:)
Back in 2 weeks to see the consultant. Seen by my GP today and have hospital appointments on Sunday and next Friday, but they are just nurse/blood appointments.

Well................2 good weeks and this week for no reason +1lb :( also doubled my steps as been walking the dogs

Sometimes we have weeks like that. Bloating? Star week?
Or it can be just our body not understanding that Thursday is your weigh in day, and holding on to the weight :)

    Evening all.

Suspect I'll be joining you with a gain tomorrow Bubbs - it's been a carby week despite having a couple of speed days! Welcome newbies and well done to the losers. Glad you're comfortable at home Kathryn and feeling a bit better - hope you're being looked after!

Cooked one of the Tom Kerridge recipes tonight, with one or two tweaks, served with rice, broccoli and green beans:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/beef_stroganoff_16029
It was quite tasty and around 3 syns per serving, I reckon. There have been some good recipes on his programme for SW so might try one or two more as I'm getting a bit bored of my own cooking.

Good luck to those still to weigh in this week.
  • Evening all. I got my 1 stone shiney :j -3lbs for me this week. Double what I needed, so only 5.5lbs to go to my next shiney :D Missed out on slimmer of the week by the slightest margin. I'm never going to get it :rotfl: Celebrated with a massive homemade Mexican dinner, completely on plan of course. Hope I don't pay for the rice on the scales next week!

Congrats to all the losers :T Some fab losses after coming in this week.

    Morning all,

Glad you're home, kathryna and well done to the losers!

Drawing a line under the last two days; they've been off plan due to family illness (not prepping enough).

I've decided to mix things up a little. I've got a list of speed foods and have made sure everything on my weekly shopping delivery is speed. I'm cutting back on the mid afternoon fruit and am replacing it with Syns. My logic is that I'm simply not having enough syns. To be honest, I really struggle with the idea that I CAN have them. I'm used to being hungry :o I'll continue to have (speed) fruit with my breakfast.

I am also going to post my day's food after I've eaten it instead of before so I can include anything. If any of you see where I am going wrong; not eating enough speed, please do let me know.

    Have a great day all

I have this problem, but I am never hungry as I eat twice as much now than before the diet... but most of what I eat is speed.

I do keep writing the syn value of snacks I like on a piece of paper in my bag.... just in case. But at the moment, I love carrots!

I'm planning on leaving the wine syns alone this week - it's definitely going to be the Gin diet this week:rotfl: as far as alcohol is concerned!

    Denise

I am participating in the gin diet on Sunday night, we have a room in a hotel.... so nice meal and lots of gin...so will make the most of it...

Hello, been MIA after losing my first stone. Two days ago I started having massive cravings, it's like my body is desperate for more! Been eating too much for the last 2 days: cheese, bread, fat, cake etc. Need to return to straight and narrow (from home). Can anyone help me with EE SP for vegetarians please? Actually, not 100% veg, can eat a bit of tinned fish and smoked salmon too. Thank you.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
