Morning all,
Glad you're home, kathryna and well done to the losers!
Drawing a line under the last two days; they've been off plan due to family illness (not prepping enough).
I've decided to mix things up a little. I've got a list of speed foods and have made sure everything on my weekly shopping delivery is speed. I'm cutting back on the mid afternoon fruit and am replacing it with Syns. My logic is that I'm simply not having enough syns. To be honest, I really struggle with the idea that I CAN have them. I'm used to being hungryI'll continue to have (speed) fruit with my breakfast.
I am also going to post my day's food after I've eaten it instead of before so I can include anything. If any of you see where I am going wrong; not eating enough speed, please do let me know.
Have a great day all0 -
Feeling a bit more human today. Amazing what a night in your own bed without a nurse disturbing you every hour can do for you.
I am planning today. Might not be totally on plan, but I need some speed, and I need to try and get back in control.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - breakfast bake
Lunch - Chilli from the freezer
Dinner - stir fry
HA - milk and cheese
HB - not sure
Syns - sausage in breakfast (2)Zebras rock0 -
Glad to hear you are back in your own bed kathryn there's no place like home
2lb gain for me this week  but I'm really not surprised as we've had bad news about a family member who took ill on holiday and is currently in hospital overseas so appetite is all over the place - one day I'm eating just bits and the next I feel like I'll never get full. I'm such an emotional eater, need to get out of that headspace cos me binging on biscuits wont make a bit of difference I know.
Trying desperately to get back on plan though, hopefully this next week will be a better one :T0 -
Hugs CandyApple. Hop your family member gets home soon and is okay.
I'm a comfort eater too. I try to make sure there is nothing bad easy to hand, so I have to go out of my way to binge on bad stuff. Also have healthy but expensive tasty treats in to tempt me from the bad stuff. Things like steak, scallops or salmon.Zebras rock0 -
Hugs to you Candyapple. Hope your relative gets well soon.
Good to hear you're feeling a bit more human today Kathryn. You can't beat your own bed!
Was pleasantly surprised at WI this morning! I only put on 2lb (that also includes Christmas & New Year gains as well as my holiday!) so sticking to plan as if I was just starting out again definitely helped!!! I'm only 1.5lb out of top end of target so hope to get that off over the next couple of weeks to get back in target. Aiming for around 70-80 syns for this week rather than the usual 105 as I probably go over on my milk some days.
Today's plan:
B - couple of apricots after WI
L - leek & potato soup; 1 slice of WM bread (0.5 HEB)
D - shepherds pie with added Speed in the mince; cabbage on the side
HEA - 1% milk
HEB - WM bread (0.5); not sure what I'll have for 2nd half
Syns - none planned but maybe a G&T or 2 this evening

Sorry to hear about your relative candy but I think the advice about planning to have good snacks around is a good.:)
Good to hear you're feeling more comfortable kathrynha. When do you go back to see the consultant?:)
I love scallops but tend to only have them in restaurants. I've never cooked them myself. I've seen them in places like Iceland. Do you buy frozen scallops? Was pleasantly surprised at WI this morning! That's great for 2 weeks holiday on top of Christmas. Well done!:T
I thought exactly the same about milk which is why I didn't worry that I had about 20 syns spare last week. I don't think I'm too far over across a week as we buy 8 pints and DH definitely has more than me as he has muesli almost every day. Daily though I probably go over when I have porage or cereal.
I'm out tonight with a friend so I'll be consuming wine syns.:)Food should be fine though as it's another Greene King place so steak and salad should be good.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO ham hash with cabbagesteak, salad, new potatoes
Syns: dressing and wine tbc0 -

Welcome Katie . You don't seem to have planned many syns today. Are you saving them?
I ended up having a biscuit with a cuppa later on in the end.
I am going for a bit of a blow out meal that was pre-booked before my return to SW, so I'm trying to bank a few for that. I'm probably going to end up more around the 10 mark today, though.0 -
-3.5lb for me tonight. I'm really chuffed with that. I have worked my !!! off quite literally over the past few weeks. On it with the food optimising and 30 mins of exercise for 6 days of the week. Fitness is improving and I feel good.
Am back to 5 stone 13.5lb loss and if I get 2lb next week that will take me to my lowest weight and into a new stone bracket.
:j amazing job! Well done!0
