It's well known that there are no syns whatsoever in hospital food, as it's largely inedible! Glad all went well.

That's good cos for breakfast I have a choice of porridge that looks like gruel or toast that has been kept warm and has gone soggy :(

Would it be wrong to eat haribo for breakfast?

  • Argh no posting and also no WI for me this week as I've finally caught the terrible flu that's going round :( Obviously haven't been able to manage any exercise as almost totally bed-bound. Feeling a bit sorry for myself! Diet is all over the place atm too, mainly eating bread and drinking sugary lemsip when I can keep it down (TMI, sorry)... Will have to wait and see where I'm at once I've recovered.
Well done to everyone else over the past week!

Was without internet yesterday but glad to hear everything went well - & yes haribo is perfectly acceptable for breakfast.

Have you tried downloading some of the plays from Radio 4? Some of them are a little questionable but majority of them are ok

Mrs R - you shouldnt be gutted by missing your 3 stone award by 0.5lb! Be proud that you've lost 2 stone 13.5lb!!!

Welcome Katie89. You should easily get back to target by summer if you stick to plan.

I really dislike SP days - I miss the carbs too much and also didn't find it made any difference to my weight loss! I'd rather do a Green day than SP - I get 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs then:D. Cheese & milk on the same day!

Easy day for me today as everything is prepared and just needs reheating, other than cooking some rice this evening.

B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - stir fried pork & veg with noodles
D - Sweet & sour pork with extra Speed veg, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but have syns available if I want something.
Snacks will be apples, apricots. Also have a few baby sweetcorn in the fridge I can pick at.

I'm currently making syn free red onion chutney (it's actually 1.5 syns for the whole lot for sweetner but spread over the amount made it is negligible as only have a Tbsp or so at a time. Think it'll make 4 or 5 small jars.

I think I said that when I had to stay overnight in hospital the food was disgustingly unhealthy and unappetising. They didn't do toast just white sliced. So for breakfast I was like Paddington Bear on the marmalade sandwiches! By lunchtime I thought if I'm going to eat rubbish it might as well be rubbish I enjoy so I sent DH down to the shop for crisps and Crunchie!:D

Don't be disheartened MrsR. By the weekend you probably will have lost an extra half pound! It's only Wednesday.:)

I'm off out in a moment so will post later, If I'm hungry I might have a salad or a JP in town.:)
  • Hi Everyone,
Well done on the losses and STS. My plan for today is
B: boiled eggs, skyr fat free yogurt and fruit
L: HM carrot & coriander soup with ryvita (HEB), cold meat and tomato, oh and a scraping of Go Go cheese (part HEA)
    D; Chilli from the freezer.
I'm keeping up with my exercise classes - I'll need to check if I'm due a wee body magic award - good to have some bling on my book!
Travelling for work tomorrow so I'll need to make sure I'm organised with my snacks and lunch.
    Have a good day x

Not supposed to move unsupervised and I'm bored. Not got the attention span at the moment to read, so with enough WiFi for a bit of surfing but not enough for YouTube I might as well be on here :)

Glad op went well. Your post reminds me of when I broke my ankle but had to be off uni placement so bought myself a wii fit as I was that bored lol

    Welcome katiebe too

Well done on the loss Mrs_Ryan :T It's still a great loss, and I'm sure you'll get your three stone next week :)

kathrynha Yes of course haribo are an acceptable breakfast! Last time I was in hospital I lived off junk food. The food they supply is unhealthy anyway, so may as well enjoy yourself :)

I really enjoyed having my yogurt this morning! It's ridiculous how happy yogurts make me. Having issues deciding what to use my syns on today. Going to have half a syn of BBQ sauce with my dinner but that's all I've planned so far. I'm really craving junk today, and am worried if I start I won't stop. With WI tomorrow, that's really not an option.

    Hi all.

I'm home. Tired and sore but at least I can relax in my own home and sleep in peace without being disturbed all the time.
Thank you for all your good wishes.

Now just need to get back on plan
