Wow that is a lot of weight to lose... I am sure you will do it and get into those slinky dresses x

It is predominantly veg - including 1 kg of carrots a day!

    I should be orange.

I am going to try to just eat at meal times... and see how it goes.

We fly from Gatwick North terminal - 8am flight. where are you going Bubbs? We're off to Malta; we've hired a villa. I am very excited already :)

Yes, it is am ambitious target, SSM but to be honest, every pound off is a victory so I won't beat myself up if I don't hit it. This is a lifestyle change; not a diet :)

    That's a LOT of carrots!

Thanks for the good wishes to get better. The only positive is that don't feel like eating much or drinking any alcohol! However am drinking loads of water!

Am trying to eat a bit more normally today but smaller portions.

    B - bacon, egg, mushrooms & beans
L - LO fried up veg; egg (would have had with some ham if I'd remembered to buy some yesterday!)
D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast carrots, onions & garlic; green beans; mashed swede; splash of gravy (1)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - gravy 1

We're off to New York in 12 days time. When I started back in November I had in my head that I'd be super slim and stylish by then and able to buy a whole new wardrobe while I was there (I love clothes shopping in NYC). Then in January I had a more realistic target but it was still about half a stone lower than I'm currently at.

I am smaller than I was, no doubt about it, but it would just be a waste to clothes shop while I'm out there as I'm determined that by the summer I will be at least one size smaller than I currently am.
  • :hello: Hi, am I welcome back in the fold, even though I've gone way off track and put on about a stone since I last posted?

Seems I stopped posting last November, which funnily enough coincided with me starting a new job, which turned out to be extremely busy and stressful with an overriding feeling of always being in trouble for something. Stress and unhappiness are my biggest overeating triggers so I just went completely off the rails. I'm pleased to say I'm starting a new job on Thursday though, somewhere I used to work, so I know it should have a nicer atmosphere and there are great benefits such as a gym and fitness classes.

My sprained ankle has also finally healed after about eight months, and I've been upping my miles since new year. I've lost a lot of fitness though and all I can feel when I'm running is my belly :(

I feel rotten at the mo, none of my clothes fit and my body is crying out for some vegetables.

I've cleared all my old info off my SW account (I'm an online member) and am starting afresh tomorrow. I've been doing some number crunching and I have 20lbs to lose to get back into the 'healthy' BMI bracket (yes I know that's not a perfect tool), and I'd like to do that by my upcoming half marathon, which is 12 weeks away. 1.7lbs a week should be doable shouldn't it?!

I haven't really read back, I'll have to catch up as I go along, but it's nice to see lots of newbies posting, and lots of the oldies too :D

Right, off to drag everything out of the freezer and see what I've got...
