So, this morning after another night of ltd sleep I had to see mr.trainer this morning . If I wasn't seeing him I would've happily stayed inside the whole day . Today is a big day for me , as I was being photographed, weighed and measured again. I did not fancy doing this , and told him do . In fact , I wanted to do nothing but curl up by the fan. Plus , I expect to have put on more weight .

I was told he will probably let me know next week. However, a few minutes I was on the bike , he came over amazed , enthused and almost speechless . Everything is going in the right direction .
The reason he was happy is that apparently , I have lost 5" off of my stomach :j:j:T. There is a long road ahead as I we all know, but I must admit that I am stunned at the reduction . For the first comparison , I must admit I think that mr .trainer may have got it wrong . Great news. I don't have to be wary of harpoons and the like for now :)
    Tomorrow will be interesting ...

I'm now finally by the fan ,and will be watching the World Cup matches. If they are rubbish ,I will just fall asleep :)

believe in yourself, why would you NOT have lost 5inches ?

you have been exercising and eating better

you are having to buy smaller trousers

5 inches is brilliant - believe it and start to actually look at your body in the mirror rather than assuming you know what you will see or that measurements are wrong.
Mr Trainer is thrilled with you and you should be equally thrilled with yourself
    well done

yes AC, 5" in amazing, be more positive :)

Regarding train do look at 2 singles or the cost if you buy a network railcard - only £30 and you can easily save this in one journey. I am going from hampshire to liverpool on friday (via london) and it's much less that that so i'm sure you can get cheaper by splitting the tickets.

Jobwise - crack on, all the uni students are home now so you may find lots of the PT jobs have already gone to them. Look at Lidl, waitrose....any of those places. As others have mentioned that capital must be reducing significantly after this length of time.

    Keep us updated

    Hi Anna :)

Well, the only option was to buy 2 single tkts . No discount this time around . With a hospital appointment you can’t plan much in advance if at all . Here’s why ..

Got to hospital about 9.10 am . Appointment was for 10 am . Got the 6.45 train . Normally you have a blood test a short while before .
    So then the fun starts.
One of the administrators put a note up under the screens. I had a quick look , my consultant is not due in till 10.30 am.

After going through all possible options , my next appointment is supposed to be in December .
I am now on the way home waiting for the 10.35 train back to parkstone . Unhappy is an understatement . The last time I was here I was waiting 4 hours.
What I will be doing in the meantime is making an appointment with my doctor and request various lower tablets for prednisolone and Azathioprine . Basically , I’m gonna try reducing myself in stages.
By December , I may be finished with this .

I can’t take things to heart . It’s the Nhs after all .

Could your consultant care be transferred to Poole hospital, or somewhere nearer? It's ridiculous that you have to travel all the way to London, especially when it then gets cancelled.

Well.. I'm still alive and the heat hasn't killed me ..yet :)
The cost of my dental treatment yesterday ,almost gave me a heart attack though . £180.00. If I wasn't on the monthly dental plan , then I would've had 20% more . Combine that with my train fare to Waterloo on Tuesday then the cost of living this week has been very expensive  Having said that k it's life and thankfully I'm still able to take everything on the chin and move on.
Watching England on Tuesday was like tooth extraction in itself .

So, I thought I'd book an appointment with the Dr. to discuss my hopeful reduction of the steroids ,taking the bull by the horns and keeping the momentum going . I have to wait for 12 days but hopefully Mrs.Doctor will agree with my ideals and philosophy .

I managed to get myself down to the gym this morning . Thoroughly enjoyable . The good thing about being here is that there is a breeze and not as sticky as London . Apparently it's 32 degrees c there
and 25 here. I must say , I'm not feeling like a gas balloon at the moment and am delighted not to be stuck in a suit in London .

I decided to look at right move and see what's going on around the area . Much to my shock, one of my neighbours upstairs is moving out and the flat is on sale for £195,000. I believe the lady and her daughter were renting and the landlord / landlady decided to sell.
I could be wrong . The Sri Lankan family are still there. It's amazing how they get on with the flat more or less the same size as mine .
There are 2 young children ,a baby plus the mother and father .
The father doesn't seem to be there all the time though.
Looking at the flat for sale upstairs , the lady and her daughter have a lot of stuff crammed in there . The kitchen and bathroom are identical to mine before james did his business .The upstairs flat opposite is still on the market for £225,00. Too high . Not seen anyone enter the place since the end of April when it was listed .
The same estate agent who were used in my property purchase are being used for the flat upstairs . I can see myself having new neighbours by October / November . Fingers crossed all will be the same as now . Probably buy to let , but we'll see.

Watching the World Cup . Should be meeting my friend tomorrow , but I don't fancy being in a screaming and bawling pub while England play. We may have a swift one or two and just watch the game at home .

Just received my new appointment with my specialist in London ...11/22/18.

Hi AC. Just popped in to see how you are doing and a bit of a catch up.

First my big news. I am a grandmother!!! My grandson was born on Monday, wahoo. Mum and babe doing well.

Had the survey back from the house I want to buy. It needs a bit more work than I would have liked but I think I'll still go ahead. Just have to dip a bit deeper into my savings but I will take my time getting stuff done, partly to spread out the costs but also by doing it slowly I can try and do as much as I can myself to keep costs down. I intend to live there for a while so no biggie if it takes longer to get straight.

Your comments about the flats near you were interesting, different prices etc. And the comparison about use of space. You all alone in a flat that is a similar size to the one where the Sri Lankan family are all packed in. Same here. I live in a 3 bedroomed house, the same size as the multi generational Lithuanian family next door, 5 adults and 2 children, they use the sitting room as a 4th bedroom and the dining room as a sitting/dining room.

We are so fortunate to have so much space to ourselves. I think that's partly why there is so much pressure on housing in the U.K., we have a higher percentage of single person households that many countries, especially where multi generational living is the norm.

Well done on keeping up with the gym, your hard work will pay off. And whilst those healthcare expenses are a nuisance, it's the price we pay for getting older. The older I get the more high maintenance I become. :rotfl:

Speaking of healthcare expenses - I have now had 4 acupuncture treatments. I can definitely feel a difference. Much better sleep, and pain levels are much improved. . I have another 12 treatments to go so hopefully I should do continue to improve. I am self funding but if it means I'm painfree and manage to regain some of my old verve and energy then it will be worth every penny.

Still hot here, it's been around the 30 mark some days, but cooling down a bit next week. I do find the heat saps my energy levels a bit so i will enjoy the respite. 20 to 25 is just perfect for me. Hopefully now that my knees are feeling better I can start walking again once it cools down a bit. I went for a walk last night at 9pm and it was still quite hot so didn't go very far.

Any luck with the job hunting........I think once I've moved and settled in a bit I will look for either a little job or maybe start a micro business of some sort. Perhaps early next year.

In the meantime I need to squeeze the budget again and really streeeeetch my pennies. :rotfl:

Congrats on grandson LL. I have a 12 week old DGD and an almost 3 year old DGD and I absolutely dote on them. Not money saving though as I try and treat them to clothes etc as much as possible to take the pressure off my DD who is on maternity leave.

I am sure that you are pleased to be in Poole rather than London in this heat AC. I love it here in SE Cornwall too. Breezy but warm. Ouch to dentists. OH had to pay £100 last week just for 1 filling which had dropped out and that is with a denplan so 20% off. Less said about World Cup the better. They did better than in previous years though.
