Back from the gym . Mr. Instructor gave me a home workout . Just what I need really to keep me ticking over. It means I can do a lot of things on a daily basis which should make things better over time.
Surprised I managed anything in this heat , so I am happy and proud I guess. He is more than happy so it seems, so I am as well.
He is talking about me maybe purchasing some equipment for the home that would benefit me . I'm trying to workout how much room I actually have . I'll be sending hm some pics of the flat and we'll see.
I doubt if I have the room , but never say never.

Speaking of the flat, I had a ring at the door . I just came out of the shower , so I had a weird but useful conversation with the lady who is selling her flat opposite . No trousers on again :)There is a key missing that closes the communal door which contains all of the electric meters etc
I've never been given one ,and the door is always open .
I found out about her and the person who sold the flat and a few of the neighbours etc . She is a landlady and is getting bored of being one . I think she realises that her asking price is too high tbh. She may change her mind and stay there . She actually lives nearby.
She noticed how clean the communal area is since I moved in.
    She seems very proactive .

There was a weather warning on one of my weather apps regarding a possible thunderstorm around 1pm. It's 2pm now and still blazing sunshine . Oh well :)
  • So, what's been going on ?
Well, I'm still seeing mr. Trainer etc and things seem to be going well as usual . I did get told off though, as I've been back on bread for almost a month. I had a month without . I noticed one or two spots on my face, so I'm now starting again today ..no more bread!
I have got ryvita which I don't mind. Please don't tell me that's bad .

I saw my friend , and will have to remind him again about my cv
In a way, I'm still recovering so when I do hopefully get the part time job needed it will be at the right time. Up until very recently for example, I was like an 80 year old man getting out of a chair, either at home or in my friends house. It's very embarrassing when I get the looks of worry etc from my friends wife and grown up daughters.
Mr. Trainer is improving on my everyday movements and I'm doing stuff everyday at home so things are bound to improve.
I have a bone scan at Christchurch hospital today . It's because of the medication I take . Only certain hospitals have these machines.
When I had one a few years ago, I had to go to guys hospital . I used to live around there . Now it's Christchurch. Poole hospital is my local hospital for most other things .

Nearly forgot to mention ; as I hadn't heard from my specialist at st Thomas's , I decided to reduce my prednisolone down to 3mg from 5mg. That was 8 days ago. I felt rough on Thurs/Fri of last week.
Part of that was due to the excessive humid weather . Apart from that, it seems that I've done the right thing. I should be seeing the specialist in July so we'll see.

I sent my sister a birthday present from Thornton's . Not impressed with them . I arranged for a delivery for yesterday . Of course it never got there. Her birthday is today. She won't be home till after 4pm
Thornton's did say that they would try to get parcelfarce to deliver it later if possible. They were late delivering my xmas present to my other sister. I politely told them off and got a free box of crocs and refunded postage for inconvenience . Today it was the postage refund only. I won't use them again.

My neighbours upstairs were a little too noisy last week. It was about 10.30pm. Kids were shouting going up the stairs. Baby bawling. I opened my front door to politely smile. That would indicate they have woken me up and would be enough. Unfortunately , all I saw was the communal door wide open . I just pushed it closed. This time I made sure I had trousers on. I could see a silhouette of the father carrying his bawling baby into the door, wondering why it closed. Don't know if I did the right thing, but they've been quieter since. I don't mind them running up and down the stairs for about 2 hours at random times in the evening but not after 10pm.

My freesat signal cut out this morning for a few minutes. I had to reset my humax box. After posting a topic on the tv forum here, I decided to contact freesat directly. That was a p I t a. Not forgetting I got ripped off getting it installed last year , I was going to get an external aerial installed. I could only contact freesat via live chat,as their telephone system is worse than crap. Anyway , I don't need an aerial if I have freeesat. So I actually saved money . Wow! :)

    That's enough for now

Hi AC. You've gone very quiet, is everything ok. Any news, anything exciting. How are you doing reducing your meds. Any job interviews yet.

    So many questions.....:rotfl:

Well all is good here, just resting my back for a few minutes. I have started decluttering and prepacking. No legal completion dates yet but I've decided I may as well get organised. My grandchild is due in a fortnight or so, so I decided it's probably a good idea to get ahead and avoid a last minute panic.

    Well that's the theory. :rotfl:

    Exciting times for you LL!

    How's your training going AC?
  • Hi LL/Gigervamp :)
Good to see you're well prepared for your move LL. Exciting times with the grandchild too.

I'm still doing the training , and so far so good things still seem to be going in the right direction .The thing that's annoying me still, is my belly is still big .When I had my bonescan last week, it was more or less confirmed that it's the prednisolone ( and possibly the azathioprine) that is bloating me out . I've done so much good work and still its there. When I was making my way back to the train station , I felt like the incredible bulk passing children and their mothers . Having said that , I had a swift afternoon drink on Saturday with my friend . He thinks I look better and showed me a picture he took of me a couple of months ago. I hate it when people take sneaky pics on their iPhone .
I think the last time , I mentioned that I went from 5mg -3 mg on the prednisolone last month . Yesterday , I decided to go down to 2.5
I'm not sure how it's gonna pan out . I'm due to see my specialist next month ( if appointment isn't cancelled again),and it will be interesting to see what is said .

I'm still sorting out the cv . Soon will send it to agencies .
I have been looking on the indeed website and get daily emails. I've listed what I want ( part time ) , and know it'll be tough getting back into it . It's funny really . I seem to have started with a gallop in terms of getting my new home . Didn't spend that long getting everything done . The health side of things have taken longer than expected . I just need more confidence ( ie the weight to come off) and then I should be all set.

Regarding the flat . I'm almost there regarding storage etc. Still unsure if I've made a mistake by having the wardrobe in the music room . At the time, there was nowhere else for it . I've a sideboard in my bedroom which holds my tv and soundbar. Thing is , I actually haven't watched tv in bed since I've moved . If I remove that, I could have space for stuff there . Tomorrow will be the time to sort my storage issues once and for all.
I'm sleeping well now and the bed issue is sorted . I used the beales voucher for more bedding .
    I think that's everything :)

    Hi LL/Gigervamp :)

Well done on the training and I hope the drug reduction goes well, it's great you feel well enough to reduce it further :T.

Just after I read the above I saw the following quote on someone else's post and thought of you:
"Don't get it perfect - Get it going"

What on earth is there to still sort out? You're looking for part time admin work, not CEO of British Gas! I appreciate this is tied up with your lack of confidence but (excuse the language!) ……. JFDI! It's already the second half of June and the summer season is well under way :naughty:.

There are plenty people on here who'd be happy to tweak your CV for you in the next day or so, me included. Just drop me a PM if you're interested and I'll give you my email address.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Will be tackling the cv this weekend . One of the reasons I've been holding back, is because I'm trying to see how this prednisolone reduction is going to pan out . Initially , I'll get cold symptoms and then aching bones and muscles when I move etc. When I reduced 2 years ago, it was too quick and I had to go back up to a previous dosage . I was like an 85 year old man and felt totally flu like everywhere. I had a gruelling session with Mr.Trainer on Monday where he had me squatting with a heavy bar an my neck . I found it painful and it took me 3 days for the pain to go. My immune system has to be shocked , and approached the opposite way . Hard to explain . Legs are fine though , but I'm still monitoring everything ,as I only reduced to 2.5 mg on Monday .

I got a call from reactive insurance regarding my new boiler cover.
They called me to advise that the £17.49 direct debit hasn't been taken from my account and no payments have been made . I asked why ,and it turns out that I failed a credit check . Reactive use different means to authorise payment and phoned me to check the account I had setup with them . They just sent me an email confirming my arrangement and the boiler cover is now authorised .
I must say , I was caught on the hop about this ,and it's a great relief to be debt free . Just a brief reminder : Feb2012: Took out a DMP
Sept 2017( I think) :, partial& fand f settlements . Feb 2018 : 6 years since I started DMP. Today: failed boiler insurance on credit check , but allowed after phone call.

One other thing regarding poor credit :
I have 1 credit card (Vanquis) ,which I used as a security when buying one or two items . I pay balance off in full each month.
I received a letter from them today regarding changes to their terms and conditions etc. I used to get so many of those letters when I had my head in the sand a few years ago. I was thinking of just ditching it altogether , but people often say that it's good protection if buying certain purchases. I do think leaving your debit card details on Apple iTunes or Amazon is risky and replaced my debit cards with the details of Vanquis instead . Doubt if it will make much difference .
