I applied for sensee the other day, but haven't heard anything back from them yet - although they state that it may take some time when you fill in the application, so it's all good.0

Credit checks depend entirely on their client, not the employer. If their client is FSA regulated, workers must be credit checked for fraud and that's fair enough.Blazing_Saddles wrote: »You have to understand that with these kinds of company, they have to wait until they get the "nod" from the contract that they're recruiting for.
I think most people here "understand" that, Blazing Saddles. What we're failing to get is their upfront honesty.0 -

You're alright CJ, I feel your frustrations.
When is/was your interview with Teletech? Can someone tell me why they "group interview" ? I can't see how they can review an individual's skills and experience from this. It works in "the real world" but for a home working position?0 -

Cheers, BS. Soz for whining.Blazing_Saddles wrote: »When is/was your interview with Teletech?
It was yesterday but I didn't attend.Blazing_Saddles wrote: »Can someone tell me why they "group interview" ? I can't see how they can review an individual's skills and experience from this. It works in "the real world" but for a home working position?
I would be interested to hear from anyone who didn't get past that stage. It's my theory that their online and automated selection process, i.e all the testing, is so comprehensive that by the time you get on the group interview the only test left is that you can speak.
It's also my theory that they plunge you into what might be seen by some as an unexpected and potentially difficult, or awkward, situation. When you chuck people in at the deep end they either sink or swim. It's a good indication of how you deal with a stressful situation I guess.0 -

You make a good point. Why didn't you attend the interview, if you don't mind me asking? Or did you reschedule?
I'm not getting to excited about the prospect for working at Teletech. The pay is awful for a homeworking position and I've heard lots of negative stories from people who have worked there i.e. lack of training, terrible communication, stressful calls etc.
...and 6 weeks training in Belfast?! No thanks!0 -

I made an executive decision that my time was better spent, after reading this thread. Doing stuff like job hunting and posting to forumsBlazing_Saddles wrote: »I'm not getting to excited about the prospect for working at Teletech. Pay is pay. I keep telling myself that working for peanuts doth not the monkey make. Several years ago I was running two jobs from home and freelancing as a writer and I was raking it in. But that's life, innit. You never quite know what's round that big old corner. But you are entirely right - the pay is terrible and the stress is bound to be high - but that's generally the way of "customer service". One of the most vital departments of a company is customer retention, ergo satisfaction, yet 99% of the time they're the most poorly paid workers... working from home or otherwise.Blazing_Saddles wrote: »...and 6 weeks training in Belfast?! Belfast is a very underrated cityIt has some incredible beauty about it, despite everything. But yeah, I wouldn't wanna spend 6 weeks training there either. Too much to arrange.
Speaking of Belfast - one thing I recall about the TT application process was asking if I was Catholic or Protestant. I am not convinced they're even allowed to ask that question.0 -
I had a group interview on Monday, and was told to expect an email within 3 working days. So far no email!
The interview consisted of a very short PP presentation, then a breakout session where a group of us discussed a time when we had delt with a difficult customer. The group then decided on who's tale was the best and they then presented to the host. We then had a very short 1 to 1 with the host who asked why we thought we would suit working from home.
The whole precess was over very quickly and really wasn't difficult. I am disappointed with the lack of communication, although considering I have just finished up with Arise all I can say is I'm used to it!0
