I don't think I ever got any 'results' on screen, I don't remember now, but I have to enter a code now every time I log into work or my screen size is all messed up - kinda odd but you get used to it :)
  • So apparently our training has been moved to the 15th? Or at least mine has been.

Did anyone else find it hard to find a solicitor who would do it? I asked at least 10 of them before I got one.

Had a mad dash getting to the Royal Mail depot today trying to pick up my USB to ethernet adapter for Workbooth too. Guess it was for nothing. :p

Yeah I'd heard the training had been postponed - I think its due to the tenured agents having a massive training session this week (3 days of 8 hrs each - not looking forward to it myself! lol)

My first PC I had to use codes (I'd actually forgotten all about it til now) Since then I've had no need to with either a Dell or an esystems machine.

I didn't actually have a problem finding a solicitor to do it but she made the oddest comment as she did it. "Well I don't actually KNOW it's you" I pointed out that as she had my passport in her hand and for the past ten years both UK and US immigration had no problem working out from it that I was me -I wasn't too sure what she meant. She shut up and signed the thing.

  • I think a lot of the solicitors didn't understand what I wanted them to do or what their liability was.

Quite a few of them said that they've "really clamped down on that sort of thing recently". What that's supposed to mean I don't know. The printout (from TeleTech) I handed them was pretty straightforward - that it was just making a photocopy to verify that the copy matched the passport and so on.

Serves me right for expecting such high standards of legal professionals.
