Hey guys, I've been reading through all the threads (seems to keep starting a new one lol)
I recently had the group telephone interview and visual and have just received an "offer call" email, so I have scheduled the appointment for 15th Nov at 4pm (only time I could schedule on the site). However the Offer Call e-mail (not the one with the scheduling link) said that training was starting AUGUST 30th :S Which is very strange, because the lady who did the Group Interview said the next training started on Nov 30th. It also stated 30th August when I was on the website to schedule (although it gave me a 15th Novemeber offer call appointment) It just seemed a bit dodgey to me, but it could just be that they haven't changed the date on the e-mail template I'm sure they use. Anyone else have this?
Just have a few more questions. What kind of background information are they looking for? I read they are looking at credit history and they also send you out some sort of ID letter which you get a Solicitor to stamp.
The thing that is worrying me is the credit check, I'm 20 years old and as far as I know I have no debts of my own except an overdraft from the bank (will this show up on the credit check?) but the other thing that is worrying me is that my Mum used my name for a catalogue book last year and there is a debt of £500 which is in my name, althugh this is currently getting paid off will this be problematic for me when it comes to the credit check?
Also read that they are do drug tests but I'm not sure if this is just in America as the forum I read it on was American, do they do this in the UK aswell?
Thanks in advance and hope to see some of you guys if/when I start

You do have to get a solicitor to sign/stamp your info page that you would receive from Teletech - mostly to say that they agree that you are who you say you are etc, some people have problems finding one that will do it but personally I didn't have too much of an issue (they will charge though - usually £10 or something similar)
The training is most likely to start on Nov 29th if you get in as I think this is when the next group starts (theres a group starting on 15th nov too) as all training starts on a monday although you'll get further details once you've been hired officially
No drug tests as I'm guessing theres no way to regulate them when you work from home!

hi voodude, i got the same same email yesterday, if you look at the top it says in bold that the next training is 29th november.... hope this helps.
i think if also i read somewhere that if you have debt, but you have proof of a payment plan in place then it shouldnt affect you at all as you are showing that you are sorting the problem.
im on conference call on monday as well0 -
Hey guys, thanks for the replies. To Visions, i just looked over the "please schedule.." email, the "offer call" email and the "schedule confirmed" email and none of them say about Nov 29th :S Perhaps it is hotmail blocking some portions of the email or something but thanks anyway.
What time is your conference call? Mine is at 4pm maybe i'll see you there.
One more thing I was curious about - The lady in the interview said that training usually lasts 3-4 weeks but will most likely be 3 weeks as this time around there isn't many recruits and something about a week break after training before actually starting the job (however i may have mis-heard that) So how does it work over christmas? do we train right through christmas including christmas day or will that week break be the christmas week to new year then we start in january?
Sorry for the amount of questions (all which will most likely be answered on monday lol) Just a bit nervous as i really need this job, don't want to mess it up
Cheers - Voo0 -
im a bit nervous as well. but i was nervous last tuesday before the first interview, looking back there was nothing to be nervous about.
just double checked email there, it was when i linked to the scheduling centre, it said there about the 30th august but at the top in bold it said about the 29th november....sorry.
i dont think i was told anything last tuesday about training......but this call on monday will explain everything, and then i suppose they will do question and answer session. i would imagine your right about the 3 weeks training because there was only like 20 people on my session and she said there is usually 40-50. so training will probably finish quicker and hopefully the week off would make 4 weeks in total.......
my conference call is at 4 as well0 -
Thanks Vision, yea I noticed that aswell on the link, sorry I thought you meant the original e-mail. And wow 20 people in your session!? There was only around 6-8 of us in my session, I couldn't imagine doing it with 40-50 people! Good Luck for Monday!0

I can't see you training on Christmas day-don't worry
The trainers are very nice and down to earth and I'm sure the schedule will be juggled to clear Christmas dates either as the "week between" or a few days break in training (3 weeks training will take you up to just before Christmas week anyway tho)
I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Its actually only 3 weeks of training anyway - week 4 is known as nesting where you take a small number of live calls and have them listened to, to see where you need practice etc and also so you can see what its like without going 'live'0
