I've just double checked on the TT Tech Requirements page -
It now seems that TT don't stipulate that an IDE hard drive is used at all!
This may have changed since I worked for them last year, or I may have just imagined it!
Can any of you guys confirm that a PC with an IDE Hard Drive will be ok? Or could you let me know which systems you're using for training / working for TT already?
I can't see why a PC with an IDE drive wouldn't be ok, as we're using the Workbooth / Linux CD which obviously doesn't even need Windows / the PC's Hard Drive!
Cheers,

Good luck with your interview Sim :T
Thanks Sammyantha.
I got the job!
Have you gone for it then?
PS - What's Butler Hill?0 -
Help needed!
Tried to run the CD assessment for WorkBooth tonight, everything was working fine until I clicked OK after entering my ID and email. Within 30 seconds of clicking OK WorkBooth shut down and ejected the CD.
My PC more than meets the specs requested so decided to try on my Sony laptop and did exactly the same
Any suggestions??0 -

I never delved that deeply into it all. I have a standard pc, with a standard cd/dvd rom drive. I actually have to use my workbooth from a usb device, so worst case scenario, you can do that.0 -

Thanks for the number Sanity, just spent a good forty minutes on the phone to them. To be honest I don't think the agent I spoke to knew why it was doing that but she said she checked and it was showing that my system had passed. They're going to send me another copy of WorkBooth out but the 3.0 version this time not the 2.1.0

Always a long queue for Tech unfortunately. You could cope if they put some decent music on there.................:D0 -
Didn't have to queue got straight through, just was on the phone forever and every time she said she was putting me on hold it was just silence, no music or anything. Mute button me'thinks lol
Don't know how my system passed as it seemed to do nothing other than shut down and spit the disk out.0 -
My laptop is sat with a eSATA drive. And the cd does not work in it. Thankfully with modern technology there are means and ways to copy the cd onto a usb drive! Much faster ... more reliabile ... doesn't break like the cds!SimIsOnTheUp wrote: »PS -
