what i suggest you guys do to make the job a million times easier is when on live calls have a laptop next to you as your computer doesnt use windows it uses linux and customers have xp, vista and 7 get vmware and install 3 o/s on it and t/s by going through the paces with them. I struggled at first as some customer dont know where the start button is or how to open a web broswer.
No need for the extra laptop, you can run workbooth in vmware.0 -
I wouldn't complicate things by even thinking of running a second machine at this point. You really really don't need to and certainly DON'T need to buy one.
Everything you need is in training and if you have a customer with an OS you are unfamiliar with (for example a Mac if you're a windows person) there are always other agents in chat to help you out beyond following the procedures you're trained in (95% of the time it's all there on the screen in front of you -most of the questions that get asked new agents just haven't followed or read the route they are supposed to be following on their screen properly)
I don't consider myself a techie at all -I'd never worked in IT before coming to TT and I've done the job for three years. I've learned more as I've gone along but if I ever got stuck there were people to help me out available .I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

I thought they changed this some time back so it no longer works in it? I rememeber a bunch of people a good year or 18 months ago moaning on msn that it no longer worked :rotfl:
I didn't even know you could at the time lol0 -

Well if they were getting the instructions from one popular tutorial and workbooth/VMware was changed or updated then maybe that's why, but I can't see any way that it wouldn't work in general if you know how to set it up. I've not used it in a while personally but I've seen it used with VMware in the last few months at least.
I might be using it again soon though, so I guess I'll find out then and post here anyway.0 -
Please pm me the "tutorial"! ;-) I'll test eet owt.0

Hiya guys,
I have an interview next Tuesday for the TeleTech job.
My query is -
I have a BT line, but am considering changing my line rental and calls package to TalkTalk or Plusnet (having to, for the inclusive 0845 calls deal, for Optimum Contact telephone survey work).
Would TeleTech be ok with this?
Or, do we have to pay line rental to BT?
I can't see it making a difference, but I just wanted to be 100% before I change my phone set up!
Many Thanks,
Sim.0 -

You don't have to have BT Line rental. I'm with Virgin. as long as you can connect to it for the duration of your shift, the provider doesn't matter.
You need to make sure that you don't have voicemail, caller display etc on your line however, as this can interfere with your vpn connection.0 -

Great news.

Have just been through the online application process and reached the page where it says to click for the matchpoint assessment and it will open in a new window. It didn't!..... I completed the application anyway, and when it came to review the summary it states that a matchpoint assessment has not been applied for!!! I've since tried with different browsers, and having cleared cache and cookies. I run Windows XP. How can I make it work, or can i just send off the application and they will email me the assessment details?
Also, I don't see a point in applying if i don't know the salary - anyone in UK know what the wage is per hour?
ThanksThe only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
Wage is £6 per hour. £6.20 once you have completed the 3 month probationary period.
Hirepoint can be a tad temperamental. I would send your application, and they should get back to you if they need anything else.0
