We most definitely can get him back :-p just need to find his real name! lol! And actually Andy wasn't my trainer - I had a Canadian called Darby, but I was under the impression that Andy was the only one doing the newbie training - hence mentioning his name :P However if he's on hols then yeah definitely could have another, poor guys gotta have a break at some point, I know from experience how stressful training can be0

You'll be absolutely fine. It all seems very daunting at first, but you soon get used to it, and theres plenty of us to help you.
Don't be afraid to ask questions once you get on calls if theres anything you're not sure of.:D0 -

what i suggest you guys do to make the job a million times easier is when on live calls have a laptop next to you as your computer doesnt use windows it uses linux and customers have xp, vista and 7 get vmware and install 3 o/s on it and t/s by going through the paces with them. I struggled at first as some customer dont know where the start button is or how to open a web broswer.0

Hiya guys,
I filled out an application online about three weeks ago, for the Customer Service job at TeleTech, working from home.
Two weeks ago, I had an email asking me to 'schedule an interview'.
This morning, I clicked through the email, and was taken to a webpage where I could select either tomorrow or next week for an interview..
I chose tomorrow, and got a message telling me the following that my interview will be on Meeting Place / phone tomorrow for 2 hours.
Great news!
However, this is new to me (I worked for them before last year)..
As last time I applied coming up two years ago, I had a telephone interview - just me and a TeleTech rep.
What happens with this two hour interview?
I'm assuming it's a group interview, where we all chip in.
Anything I need to know in advance?
Finally, when I applied this time (three weeks back), I wasn't able to fully complete my references (due to my former TeleTech Team Leader not getting back to me!)
Will they be ok waiting for these?
Any guidance would be most appreciated, as I'm quite nervous due to having not worked since the end of last year :-/
Looking forward to tomorrow though!
Many Thanks,
Sim.0 -
Who was your t/l before? Because 4 of them are no longer there. Might explain why they never got back to you if yours was amongst them.0

Hi Azimscot,
Thanks for the tip, but could you explain abit more…, do we learn how to do this in training? Where can I get the vmware? Is it all really that complicated that I must buy a laptop as well as having my standard computer?
Sorry for the questions.

Sorry for the questions.
All the equipment you need will be provided by the company. Your pc will be fine, they run a check to make sure your specs are ok. You need an ethernet connection and a phone line that you can use during your work hours.
A reasonable knowledge of computers is helpful, all the technical training you need will be provided partly in your initial basic 3 week training and there are experienced agents available to assist you once you go into production.0
