Then again, bear in mind. Its a legitimate job, and you can sit and work in your pyjamas. No travel costs. No canteen to pay for. No going out in the cold. If you take all that into account, while the wages might not be fantastic, its not too bad.0 -

I agree. The wage is ridiculously low!
Having worked there last year, in both a Customer Service / Sales and Tech Support capacity, I would say that it is a relatively high level of stress for very little money :-/
Saying that, as Sanity rightly says, you do have the benefit / convenience of working from home.
However, I used to think that they should really be paying *at least £8 per hour*, given the fact that we're using our PC's / Electric!
That said, I need a job, and I can vouch for the training being excellent, the Team Leaders being very helpful and supportive, and the job being an enjoyable challenge at times
My interview is tomorrow, and even though I've worked for them before, I'm still a bit nervous.
Am also worried I'll fail the credit check, due to defaults on there :-/
We shall try!

PS - You can probably also claim Working Tax Credits0

Great to hear!
I did last year.
Can't wait to get working again.
Just hope my interview goes ok tomorrow, and I pass the credit check :-/0 -
Well there are no jobs around here, certainly not at 8.10ph so it's worthwhile for me.
As far as the credit check goes, why do you need it? My credit rating is good but I am badly in debt. Also I may have to go bankrupt if they did employ me would they sack me for that?0 -
What does the offer call involve? How many references is it that I need to give? I gave two through hirepoint but I've heard something about four?Katharine wrote:As far as the credit check goes, why do you need it? My credit rating is good but I am badly in debt. I imagine the credit check is because you will be handling sensitive customer info regarding billing and such. I think their reasoning is that people who are in desperate situations, or those who have a history of fraud might take advantage.
Although I'm not sure about your specific circumstances, maybe others know.0
