    Just had a thought -

Would it make a difference if my iMac is on the same network as the PC while trying to run the 'test' within Workbooth?

    Surely not?

Off for a break, away from the computers!

    Cheers,

    Sim.
  • Thanks Sammyantha.

    I got the job!

Have you gone for it then?

    PS - What's Butler Hill?

No, the pay is too low imo when there are other choices. Butler Hill is an American company that employs home-based internet reviewers all over the world. They pay well and the work is fairly simple. There's a big thread about them here too, like this one for Tech :D

Congrats on your new job

    Cheers Sammyantha!

I've been genning up on Butler Hill too. The money seems a lot better, and the job seems far less stressful too.. :)

Hope you're having a relaxing evening.

    Sim.
  • Thanks Sim. I'm actually researching online tutoring for cash lol. Good luck in your application to Butler Hill. I think a few of us are scheduled in at the same time for the group skype interview :D

Sim - try the cheat codes, I had to use one of those initially (and in fact have to use a different one every time I log onto shift) so it may be that.

ATM version 3.0 for workbooth is only in beta testing so I'm pretty sure that won't work - we're all still using 2.1, I think 3.0 is only in the US atm.

Is anyone in the new training group for next monday(8th)?

    Thanks Dory.

As I was about to try the cheat codes, Tech Support got back to me by email, to confirm that they had received a 'pass' result from my hardware test.

So, I never actually had to try the codes.

Why do you have to use them every time you log in?

    That sounds like stress! :o
  • PS - Yes. My training starts next Monday 8th.

I'm still trying to find a solicitor, and still trying to get my four references finished! :-/

    Yikes..

    Rebekah -

I just ran my Workbooth CD in my PC.

After entering 'test' and my ID, the disc just ejects and Workbooth shuts down!

    Do I call Tech Support?

Yea i wouldd could be a duff cd. Or cd just wont work with your pc. Try a ethernet adapter and also when you can might be an idea to get your hands on a usb stick which you will need to select on boot up.

    Hi Rebekah,

I've had exactly the same problem as Sim and on three different PC's now all with better specs than the requirements. I made a bootable version of the WorkBooth disk this morning and booting from that did exactly the same.

Spoken to the tech people twice now and they say even though I've never seen a message to say I've passed I have so not to worry. Don't intend to either.
