  • Ah but Pigpen you have a lot more on your plate (and a lot more offspring to care for) than the rest of us!

LoverofLycra it really is about little and often. Housework for me is a constant thing, I will be on the phone swishing and swiping, if I see something dusty or dirty I grab a cloth and deal with it. I keep the bathroom surfaces, kitchen sink and draining board clear and always keep on top of the laundry. I do keep a journal and couldnt survive without mealplanners, to do lists, weekly tasks etc. It all gets written down.

Thanks for thinking of me atb. Yes, next week is a rare week off - I may have to do a little work on job no. 2 from home on Friday but thats it. I am sooo looking forward to it! x

But first I have both jobs tomorrow and need to make a list for a trip to Li@l. We have enough alcohol to set up our own pub but I forgot to get milk and toilet rolls!

I hope the weather stays kind for you LW, and have a lovely day tomorrow.
    Q) How do you fly ladies stay organised? Do you make lists or have some kind of diary to keep track of everything?
Well I follow this thread of course. There's no other hope for me. :rotfl:
FWIW - I follow Natty and Valli's fab lists to give me a kick up the backside and to squeeze jobs in when before I would have slacked off. We have a calendar in the kitchen, and if it's not on there then I can't be expected to know it's happening. Everyone has to update their bits on it, plus it has birthdays etc on it. I have a running shopping list on the fridge door. I have a meal planner which I cobbled together and which works for me. I have a list app on my phone. This is a recent discovery as until recently I didn't have the technology! I'm still learning with this, but am getting better at setting reminders and separting the lists out. I also have paper lists sometimes because they make me happy :p. I did try a bullet journal at the beginning of the year but I spent more time making ot look pretty than actually finding it useful. I abandoned it in the summer.

Sorry - that was a real ramble!

Cards delivered, dinner cooked and eaten. DW running, kitchen surfaces wiped and appliance doors also. Kitchen floor swept. WM loaded for the morrow. Cuppa time now.

None of that is really an excuse for piggishness

Not in a good way tonight. Posted the cards for the Card Swap but now I'm in absolute agony..😣☹☹ Had the delights of a white van man hit my car as I was trying to avoid a foreign lorry driver who was blissfully going to drive into my lane without checking if there was anything coming. So I had to take drastic measures and when I did..whack!!! White van man hit me from behind. He then drove away in the oncoming traffic lane to get to the lights. He stopped..checked his van, proceeded to rant and rave at me then drove through the red light..and around a roundabout at such speed he would have hit someone if they were driving in the opposite direction. Thank you to my good friend Kathy who let me calm down with a sweet tea at her house. The car is ok thank God's although Kathy thinks it's built like a tank as there are no marks at all..and it's only a little Swift..

((Hugs)) Natty, gentle ones. That sounds awful. There are too many impatient drivers on the roads at the moment. So many people are saying it. Take care. X

Oh gosh  Hope you haven't sustained any lasting damage Natty - sending some hugs and vibes for a quick recovery.

    Dailies done
    Spanish lesson done
Kitchen all WUDUPA, bunkers and hob wiped over
DH posted last few cards for us
Thoroughly cleaned the bathroom today top to bottom, including the paintwork and floor

Had a nice surprise today. I scan all my weekly shopping, and have done for several years, for a large survey company. As a regular scanner I earn points and then can 'buy' something from their rewards catalogue. Last week I checked how many points I had accumulated since last 'purchase'. I found that I had enough for a DeLonghi kettle and matching toaster (about £190 in J. Lewis) and ordered them. They said to allow up to 28 days but they arrived today :j Really pleased with them and they look great.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to anyone needing some
Hope you all have a great Thursday

    Stay organised?
I don’t BUT somehow, SOMEHOW, I have the reputation, at work, of being organised. So I smile like the Mona Lisa because I am the proverbial swan...gliding serenely but paddling like ....

Friend came round tonight so I tidied everything into one neat pile and vacuumed.

Having helped another friend then having traipsed to town I was knackered. But tea was as Oakham chicken from M&S and there’s plenty left.

Have put out recycling and RUN THE DISHWASHER during the day, having sourced inexpensive rinse aid from Wilk0

    Am absolutely spoonless.

Oh, I hope nothing that won't ease off in a couple of days. What an idiot, hope he gets caught.

    -one load washing done
    - downstairs vacuumed
    - summary report written and sent
    - mil taken to lunch. While there I noticed they had pruned their lovely blue cedar tree (it is a cafe at a plant nursery).....went and grovelled so they let me have the prunings.....lovely for flower arrangements
-finished flower arrangement for bil then mum decided she might like one so did that.
-packed and aiming to pick up mil at 11am then head for Hants to drop her off at bil, then Dorset to my mum.
    - long phone calls with mum, my brother, a friend who has just returned from holiday. Shorter chat with other friend (widower), had planned exactly what to say rather than 'happy C'mas' but just cried. Very helpful.
    - all presents, food, games etc now packed (mainly by Mr N who gathered everything together) and standing in hall. Oops typing that I just realised that Mr N's card is sitting behind my computer, must remember to pack it.
    - filled bird feeders

    Can't remember anything else.

    Morning all

    Happy Winter Solstice LW

Hugs Natty (which my kindle autocorrected to Batty BTW) - hugs hope you're not too sore this morning.

Good luck with today froddy - what are you doing next, as obviously I have missed all the news?

I have been awake since 3 so will probably end up falling asleep later on but we will see. Plan for today is to sort out the presents and do a bit more wrapping. If I sort the presents out on my bed then I will be able to put my clothes away as I can't get at my drawers currently due to the amount of presents in front of them. Then I may sort the DR out and put Pringles and suchlike on the table ready for Christmas eve which will give me a bit of cupboard space back. This will be after threatening the teens with a long painful death if they touch any of it!

That's my starting point anyway so we'll see how that goes. I also want a bath and then DS is on the Santa run tonight so I may end up doing that as well. This is not running I might add but walking around the streets with Santa!

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
