Morning all.
 Natty. Hope you've managed to get some sleep and feel a bit better this morning x
Special (((hugs))) for froddy today. How lovely of that student to want to come into your class again, and I'm glad the parents have been writing nice messages in your cards. You won't ever fully realise how much you've achieved and the difference you've made in your students' lives. When I left teaching at this time 17 years ago it was the children that I missed most (one parent still keeps in touch
), then the colleagues who had seen me through some of the darkest nights of my life (and I still have phone conversations or occasionally meet up with them :grouphug:), but I most definitely did not miss the admin, preparation and marking!
We have Christmas lights in the front garden :xmastree:
I am still working my way through my own list. Hoping to get to visit my young friend with a baby today or tomorrow
Dusting and hoovering are still way down the list
but I aim to finish sending the last remaining e-cards and letters (mostly abroad) before breakfast...
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
It took me 47 minutes to log on to the laptop this morning - but it gave in eventually!!! I needed my flylady fix

I'm going in to town for 8.30 which is when the store I want to be in opens. A mooch for the last few bits there; then calling at mum and dad's with a card and plum loaf that have been left here for them -oh and drop a bag off at CS.
Dailies and mega present wrap session are on the menu today.
Hope you're not feeling stiff and bruised this morning Natty
Enjoy your celebrations LW
Thinking of you on your last day froddington - and breathe
Hugs, spoons, sticks and posivibes available as needed / wanted.
Back later.

Glad to hear you're ok Natty after your incident with the white van man.
Yesterday I hung my sopping wet clothes over the bath to drip. This morning they had started to dry out so I've transferred them to a clothes horse and I've now got the sopping wet towels I used to clear up after the manual draining yesterday. The washing machine technician called this morning and will be here in about 20 minutes, fingers crossed he can fix it today.
My main task, other than work, for today is to get the little furry's cage cleaned out ready for Santa coming.
Luckily I can work from home today. Hopefully Windows will finish its updates this side of lunch (I'm on a Mac just now).0 -
((Hugs)) to you Froddington. I'm sure it will be difficult then a bit surreal, but you know you've made the right choice for you.
Day off from job 2 today as that finished last week for the holidays. Back to job 1 tomorrow for one final day. As they close between Christmas and new year, that will then be that until January. Anyone who works in retail has my biggest sympathies though.
WM is running, DW has been emptied and WU that was left on the side has been done. More treasures were sorted from FiL's boxes last night, so more homes need to be found **sigh**.
This afternoon I am taxi for DD, but that includes taking her to the dentist, and hopefully dropping a present to the ex NDN. So this morning I need to crack on with the bathroom, and if there is time, the utility room, which has become yet another RoD. Usually I have managed to do some Christmas baking which I quite enjoy, but not this year. Christmas Eve might be looking busy at this rate as I'm running out of days. Hopefully the remaining presents will be wrapped this evening in between getting back from dropping DD at her friend's and getting together with friends for a takeaway. We will see. First I need to put out the rubbish and recycling.
Spare spoons are in a pot by the door - help yourself, I'm just keeping one back for me in case.0 -
Have a great time all, I may drop by from my mum's computer but no Wi-Fi so no tablet unless I chat up her neighbours or investigate internet on my non-smart phone.

That's it from a shopping point of view - if we haven't got it we're not having it!
Just my repeat prescription to pick up - could have done that this morning but Surgery car park was full so the plan is to call there tonight after taxi-ing DS to his work's 'do' (the pharmacy will be open, but the Surgery closed, so should be an empty car park
) Just depends if it's very foggy or not as work's do is in one town and surgery is in another.
While I was in town I bought birthday presents ready for 4th and 8th January so I'm feeling very :A DS will be 25 years old on 30th December: I'll put money in his card. 25:eek: how did that happen???
I've made the bed, fed the birds, put the recycling out, put a load in the WM and I have a bowl of pots soaking whilst I inhale a few more spoons
LOL I write lists and I also have a bullet journal - but it is a very functional bullet journal as I'm not arty and haven't got the time, energy or inclination to doodle, draw and prettify it. Instead of having numerous pieces of paper with info on I write things in to the journal - which means I'm not continually having to remember not to forget/ looking for the piece of paper it's written on
Hope that helps.

Hoping Froddy's last day is going well - mixed feelings I'm sure - I hate change. But it has to be got through and I am sure it's the right decision - here's to a stress-free 2018 for you Froddy!
Have decluttered some hair - was due to go this afternoon but I have been offered a freebie to the neighbours so I'm off round there.
Recycling is out.

I've done a laundry shuffle, emptied the WM, washed the dry clean recommended shirt (and it looks ok :T), WUDUPA x 1 bowl of pots, wrapped presents for mum and dad and put 'family' presents all in one box ready to take on Christmas Day.
I'm having 15 minutes x do nowt and then I'm going back up to start wrapping presents that I'll be taking with me Christmas Eve. I've started wrapping in 15 minute(ish) increments now - it stops my back/ knees/ shoulders from seizing up. Maybe next year I'll have cleared the table and be able to wrap presents sat down here = something to aspire to
Posh neighbours Valli
Enjoy
