OMG Mrs MP! Serious duty. Let's hope it's worth it.....
Kitchen, ensuite and downstairs toilet floor mopped. Bedrooms dusted and floors swept. Mirrors cleaned instead of windows.
Kitchen surfaces and appliance doors will have to wait yet another day. Cue an hour's frenzied wrapping before the terrible two return. 0 -
Jobs listed previously were done before I went to my friends' for coffee. Had my lunch when I came home and then decided to brave Mr T's  I decided that if I couldn't get parked I'd just turn round and come home; but I could get parked so we now have bread, cooked meats for DS and fruit.... and cider
(which wasn't on my list but hey it's Christmas :xmassmile)
Shopping has all been put away and bins put out for collection tomorrow.
I need to accumulate a few spoons before I do any more today.

I've done all I can with the washing machine. I have checked the filter and the waste water pipe and both are clear. I contacted a washing machine repair man and he can't get to me today but will call me tomorrow at 9am to arrange a visit. He asked what make my washer/dryer is and when I said Samsung he said it is probably the pump. The contraption is only 2.5 years old. I've drained it and fished my clothes out it and have hung them over the bath to drip. That's all I can do about it today so I will just need to draw a line under it and focus on things I can do.
1) Sort presents into bags - parents' house, brother's house, etc.
2) Make a packing list
3) Tidy my bedroom and living room. RoD is ok
4) Take recycling out
Mum said I bring laundry down to hers so I should have some clean under crackers for Christmas day. What more could a girl want?0 -
Q) How do you fly ladies stay organised? Do you make lists or have some kind of diary to keep track of everything?
I bought myself a Fileofax last year (how very 80s) and I watched some YouTube videos about how people use them to "organise" but as far as I can see it mostly involves washi tape and stickers. It might look pretty but I don't have time for that or maybe I would if I were more organised.

Ah, the last day of term. 45 minutes of searching the tables for something that is reliably dairy free and finding a whole 3 olives, 5 carrot sticks and a bag of lettuce, then settling right at the back of the staffroom with half a bottle of fizzy plonk for the forthcoming speeches and presents.
Nothing says 'You're worthless' like making sure that there is one person left at the end of Secret Santa with absolutely nothing, especially when the person who had been allocated the name has quite obviously collected their rather nice present.
Styled it out by picking up an unopened bottle of prosecco as supplied for the staff party and walking out & home with it. I'm probably up on the deal.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Thank you so much for all your positive thoughts and kind words. You are all fab :T
I am not looking forward to tomorrow as I don't like the fuss but know I will have to go up in assembly to say goodbye!!! Already had leaky eyes 4 times this week due to lovely things being said to me or written in cards / letters so goodness knows how many boxes of tissues I'll need tomorrow!
One of my ex pupils has asked to come into my class tomorrow so he "can spend time with Miss Froddy before she leaves" so I think I have an extra one for most of the day.
Limited flying here unless writing cards and wrapping presents counts.
FBO and juliejim - good to have you back
kaz - welcome home

*laughs until her lungs hurt*
I couldn't organise a bun fight in a cake factory!!
I have taken 3 days to turn on the full WM, haven't vacuumed since Lord knows when.. about 3-4 weeks I think..
I live in shame and squalor because I just can't do it..
When I decide what I am doing I have a very short list and go through it one item at a time.. sometimes it takes a week to get through it.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
That is correct.I seemed to have gained a day this week - it's only Wednesday today, not Thursday as I had thought!!!
And if my calculations are correct, that means that Mr and Mrs LW won't be celebrating properly until tomorrow
Weather permitting, the plan is whisky tea on the patio at Sunrise.
Go Commando?Lover_of_Lycra wrote: »Mum said I bring laundry down to hers so I should have some clean under crackers for Christmas day. What more could a girl want?
I'll get my coat.......
Last bits of shopping have been done - milk, butter, cream, packet soup, tinned toms; nothing exciting really. Not sure how a bottle of Gluhwein snuck in there - but Mr LW was pushing the wheelchair, so I guess it doesn't take Hercule Poirot to find the culprit.
Other than Ronnie's walks, I am not setting foot out of the house for at least another week.
What we ain't got now, we can manage without. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
:rotfl: I might end up going commando. If the machine isn’t fixed soon the only clean clothes I’ll have left are my cycling kit and my onesie.0

Good to know it’s not just me.
