Very glad to hear that the problem is treatable.Turns out GP was totally wrong saying dad has a very slow heartbeat and needs a pacemaker; his heartbeat is too FAST, but every second beat is too weak to be felt at the pulse; so GP said heart rate was 44 when it is in fact 87. Consultant has put dad on betablockers for 4 weeks and he thinks that will sort things out;
On their way: it's a difficult time for many people.Posivibes for H ... Also posivibes for D ....some for my friend J .
Mr I is always happy to accept hugs from my friends, strange or not, so no problem! How is Mr ionafan? ...(Hoping Mr ionafan doesn't mind hugs from strange women
)
He came home from SW with a lovely raffle prize, as well as getting Slimmer of the Week because of not eating while he felt ill, so he was quite chuffed.
Before lunch I took Rosie for a long walk and delivered some more cards on the way, then I decided that as it was so mild I would finally plant the bulbs that I bought in September. I asked DH to help me by dropping the bulbs into the holes I dug, so it took much less time than if I'd done it on my own. I've even cleared away some rubbish too, and planted broad bean seeds (outside)and 2 amaryllis bulbs (inside) in pots. Drum roll, please!
Off to college shortly, to play hunt the library book.
Here's wishing Mrs and Mr Lame Wolf a very happy celebration tomorrow

Thank you ionafan. Tough times can seem tougher in the run up to Christmas. H is looking well, but has the next round of chemo on Thursday so that will no doubt knock her off her feet again.Mr I is always happy to accept hugs from my friends, strange or not, so no problem!

Hi all
Dashing in and out. Paid stuff no 1 done, quick call to job no. 2, visited optician and doctors, bank and post office. Couple of Christmas cards delivered, home to run hoover round, whisk washing off airer and stick it in TD. An hour done at job no. 2 and just going to get changed for my gym class.
Got to run x0 -
I will achieve nothing this evening other than putting the bins out since I appear to be the bin fairy. I ended up doing an extra 2 hours at work trying to get a report out to a client and when I got home my washing machine had failed to start the delayed load I put in this morning. In fact the machine won't start. The lights are on but no one is home. :wall:0

I lost most of today to another s*ddin' migraine (Mr LW kindly took Ronnie for his walks :A so I only had to do his meals) but let's see how we're doing.
Tuesday - Not long now!!!!
- Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents! N/A - no children, (well, unless you count the 68-year-old) and the bedroom is already tidy!
- Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs! Will vac tomorrow before A's visit - pointless doing it earlier as it'll be all over dog-biscuit crumbs again (Ronnie is a messy biscuit eater)
- Mop the kitchen floor! It gets vac'd along with the rest - carpet tiles in there
- Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good! Duly delegated; and done by Mr LW
- Iron yesterdays wash mountain None needing ironing,:T
- Get out any special christmas crockery and make sure it is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too! We use the Royal Albert that belonged to Mr LW's mum for all celebrations; it's accessible and clean.

- Prepare a list for that last second shopping I always have a "rolling" list anyway.

- Declutter your desk.. Already done
- Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie! Mr LW has already done this (hence my :eek::eek: at the prospect of sitting through the dratted Harry Potter movie)
- Toy boxes can be banished upstairs! N/A
- Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up All fine
- Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike.. All tidy in any case - only time they get left out is if they're wet.
- WRAP WRAP WRAP! N/A - we gave up doing presents years ago
- Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!! Done - I went on the MK Council website last night to do this.
- Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat! See initial comment re migraine.

If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I'm off list as usual; still vaguely on my own list.
- went to zumba
- went to collect Mr N's present ordered yesterday. Did a calm bit of mooching round shops. It's really strange not to be thrashing around with menus etc as we're going to my mum's on Thurs. I'm not really complaining although I do love cooking lots for people and it's not the same doing it at mum's.
- wrapped last presents
- checked and emailed a report. Started another.
- made a small flower arrangement for us
- watched the rest of Olympia equestrianism
- made list of things to take to Mum's
- Went through TV times and marked what to set recorder for while we're away (won't be recording all of Harry P though I must confess to being a fan)
- delivered charity food boxes and last few local cards
- found with horror we are late paying for Feb's hol so hastily paid it.
The house needs a good clean, but isn't too bad tidy-wise. Tomorrow is finish the list, pack, fly round house, take MIL to lunch, sort out holiday visa, write another report and whatever else we can fit in.
Have a great celebration LW
