Bonjpur,I'm in this week Monday to Thursday as leave for hols on Friday morning. Working Tuesday morning so must FLY the rest of the time.
So far, I'm up, showered and dressed, eating breakfast with you lot on here, WM on, bathroom and bedroom windows open and fire cleared ready for this evening.
Right back up stairs to strip our bed, and HHI then back down for coffee.
See you soon xx0 -
Morning,
I'm in. Work today then again on Friday. Thank you Natty and Valli as ever for the lists.
Deep breaths, ladies, deep breaths! We have lists, so don't need to stress....much.
Good luck today ATB. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has sent herself her To Do list today!
I hope your DH is feeling better, Ionafan.
Froddington - we've all got our party poppers out to help you celebrate this week. Well done! X0 -
Good morning.
Yesterday evening I didn't finish the placement evaluation or watch The Apprentice - instead went early to bed, so have had a decent night's sleep. DH much improved, so I am carting him off to see the orthopaedic surgeon this morning.
My list for today:
- check finances
- make breakfast (normally DH's job)
- shower and dress
- take DH to horse piddle
- deliver some cards on the way there and back
- finish placement evaluation
- clear Christmas card leftovers from LR table
- WM x2
- walk Rosie
- see what books are still available from college library (I'll go there tomorrow)
- make chocolate brownies for the Old Wives' party after carol singing tonight
- make sure I've got throat pastilles at the ready!
(((Hugs))) to froddy and atb for today/this week.
Keep calm, everyone, and have a good week x0 -
Good morning - I'm here :hello:
I'd usually be scraping ice from Pip's windows and trolleying off to work around now - instead I'm sat in my nightie having just written my list for todayThe initial list made me _pale_:eek: but I took a deep breath and reminded myself I've got all week, it does not ALL have to be done today! Like YorkshireLass I prioritised and I now have several daily lists spreading tasks through the week ... and there's even time allocated for a MAD here and there to keep on top of the start I made at the weekend.:T
So far today I've made the bed, decluttered breakfast, made DS's pack up, (he's just scraping ice from his car - his Annual Leave is next week) and sorted my lists.
Round 1 =
Sweetie : seed and water
wrap Lorna's presents
shower / hair wash/ get dressed
feed birds / put out rubbish
See in about an hour
And, by the way ladies, thank you for everything

Skulked off to bed early as I was bored. Himself was fleabaying 'stuff' and I CBA to find out what he is flogging.
Woke up before 7am again as a result and about to leave for the first of 2 ridiculous days (Carol Concert in the Church).
He's, naturally, asleep in bed. And my legs ache. Why? I've done next to nothing?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Morning all. Thanks for the list. I am in, of a fashion.
Have dusted the dusty bits in the LR around the decs, walked the dogs, washed up the breakfast dishes.....that's it, off to the paid stuff.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Round 1 completed :T with a laundry shuffle and a WM x 1 (towels) thrown in for luck.
Round 2=
Go to town - deliver Janet's card on the way to town
- fill up with petrol
- drop off repeat prescription request at Surgery
- deliver Anne's card on the way home from town
Got to de-ice Pip first

Flying of sorts here, WM again, TD, and I have sorted the paperwork tray in the kitchen, all filed, paid etc as required. Now have a few errands to run to sort bits out in town but feel on top of it.
Meals sorted until we go away. Plan to finish sorting and errands today and tomorrow, then clean round the house on Wednesday and pack on Thursday when DD1 comes home then off Friday morning.
Off to remake our bed then coffee. xx0 -
Round 2 completed :T and I've unloaded WM & hung towels on the airer, plus I called at PO as I needed some cash, so I paid the rent whilst I was there. :j
Actually feeling a little _pale_ . I parked in Mr T's car park as the Surgery car park was full - I was wary of the actual car park as it is often treacherous in icy conditions, but it was fine; the slip road out was another matter altogether  (no pun intended!!!) Bearing in mind that I went IN to the car park on the same road with no problems whatsoever I was somewhat bemused when I braked at the mini roundabout on the way OUT and didn't stop _pale_. Very cautiously continuing I found myself sliding sideways round the bend and in to the hedge!! No harm done to me, Pip, or anyone else - but I feel ever so sightly sick!
Round 3 (which I was looking forward to, but now I'm not) =
get changed
driveto Farmer's cafe (about 10 miles there and it's in the middle of nowhere - and past a pond!!!)
meet Lorna for lunch (take card & presents)
on way home - deliver Joanna's card
- pay gas bill
- deliver Mary & Frank's cards
And breathe .....

I hope your OH's horsepiddle appointment goes well, Ionafan.froddington wrote: »I'm here - thanks Natty :A Work finishes on Thursday and it seems weird. Not sure how I'll feel come Thursday . . .
I hope your last few days are stress-free Froddington.
In my sailing days I heard about something that may be relevant. When ships approach home ports the last 24 hours are referred to as 'The Channels' ie coming up the English Channel approaching Plymouth, Portsmouth or Chatham, having been away from home for months. Some sailors' behaviour would be a bit weird, similar to being 'demob happy' if you were leaving the army, I think. Anyway, I used to get The Channels quite badly (everywhere, not just in the UK) but I didn't know it was 'a thing' for years. If you experience a weird sort of feeling it wouldn't surprise me at all, after all the stress you've been through for years and years with your job.
I'll be thinking of you and sending you *calming and coping vibes* until Thursday is over.atypicalblonde wrote: »I'm intoday's priority, once I've done the school run, is to have awkward conversation with family member. It needs to be done, and I'll feel much better when it is.
Hope it goes well, ATB.
Flying on caffeine here, with a new listy dreamt up while on the hoof this morning. Thank you for yours Natty which just about covers all of the stuff I need to do today, and yours for last week, Valli. Much appreciated.Better is good enough.0
