    Tired.. so very, very tired..

My back hurts, it is freezing, my stomach hurts (I ate chicken) and I've been awake hours... and AF is due day after tomorrow so I have bloat, wind and a desire to do nothing but drink tea and sleep.

I ordered the last few bits (I hope) for my lot last night and I have 3 more items to buy on my mothers behalf.. DD2, DS2 and Squeak.. and I know what I'm getting!.. That will be everything done and sorted and just need to dump at my mothers! OH can do that on Thursday or Friday.

Best wrap DD3's birthday stuff.. she is 17 today!

Nope, sorry - I can't do it ad hoc :( I need my itemised lists otherwise I feel lost. I'm not stupid, I now what needs doing but there's just so much that needs doing I thought I'd got that sorted in my head, but seems not.:o Could be exacerbated by the fact that my Dad is at the cardiologists this morning: he's probably on the treadmill right now. DB has taken him. And breathe....

I've washed and dressed, made the bed, WUDUPA a bowl of pots (the end is in sight :T); fed the birds, put out the recycling, done a laundry shuffle and WM x 1 has just come to the end of its cycle. So that's the dailies done/ progressed.

I'm going to unload WM on to the airer; then go up and wrap presents for friends (breaking the elephant down in to bite-size pieces :)). That's 8 separate packages. I can do that - and I know exactly where they are after Sunday's sort-out.:T

    Then I'll have a brew.

No spoons to spare today, but hugs, sticks, fluffy mules, backside kicks, are all piled by the door - help yourselves as required :D

    Rxx

    Happy birthday to pigpen's DD3

I'm rushing around like a mad thing again today, too - know exactly how you feel, Roundtuit! Posivibes for your dad, and spoons for you in the pot by the hob.

SW: have put on 1 lb this week. Still within target, though, so OK for Christmas.
Have delivered all local cards apart from a couple which are just off our dog walking route.
Definitely need to go to college today, having finally checked the library website for which availability of recommended reading.
But first I must make some phonecalls and then I must take Rosie for a short walk.

Thanks for your thoughts for DH yesterday. Yes, he has arthritis of the hip. No, they won't operate at present because he is too high risk. Maybe they'll consider him in 6 months' time if he loses some weight... In the meantime he can have an injection. I'm not surprised. He is grumpy.

    Catch up later x
  • Thank you for the lists,
    I'm late in again.
Stuff still going to the CS every weekend so it's slowly clearing.
Panto yesterday with school Sam bailey in beauty and the beast. It was alright but not as good as last years and a couple of routines were direct copies from last years show.
I need to go post office to tomorrow to post my secret santa it's all ready. I have another to post as well. Disorganised me sorry.

Got to go mrt tonight to get a torch as that's what dad and step mum want and they are round tomorrow afternoon.

Break up tomorrow but only have two lunchtimes and one afterschool club left to do so I will get caught up,

    Happy birthday pigeons little one
    Recovery vibes to mrIF
Hugs and coping vibes where needed. X

Happy birthday to your DD, pigpen.

Sorry ATB, I was preoccupied with finding the kitchen table under the result of my visit to Mr S! Up for HHC at midday though if anyone is up for it? The house looks like a bomb has gone off in it. Every room. However I am feeling quite proud that not only have I been shopping, but thanks to this thread, I had an empty freezer drawer and a clean fridge to push it all into. Mr S was almost a pleasure - not busy in the shop or the car park.

DD has asked me to pick her up from school - her choice as I said I would do one day, and the other days she has to brave the bus. I'll keep my promise but it is a pain in the proverbial as this afternoon was earmarked for wrapping her presents and delivering local cards.

I'm going to decide where in this hovel is going to get my attention, change the music, and get myself into gear for a HHC.
  • So in my HHC I:

    - Made beds
    - Put laundry away
    - WUDUPA
    - Put a wash on
    - Cancelled gym membership
    - Amended Sky package
    - Mopped hall floor.

    Lunch now x

HHC done. Dusted and vacc'd the dining room, hall, landing, spare bedroom and downstairs loo. Kitchen had a whizz through but the mop will have to come out tomorrow. WM just finishing, dead leaves pulled off houseplants. I need to fill the bird feeders now when I get the bins in, hang up washing, then lunch.

Oh thank you ionafan xx (inhaling spoons :o ) Turns out GP was totally wrong saying dad has a very slow heartbeat and needs a pacemaker; his heartbeat is too FAST, but every second beat is too weak to be felt at the pulse; so GP said heart rate was 44 when it is in fact 87. Consultant has put dad on betablockers for 4 weeks and he thinks that will sort things out; the hope is that as the heartbeat slows a little the second beat will get stronger, but he had scans and ECG etc so if there is anything else going on they'll (hopefully) pick it up.

How is Mr ionafan? Is he is a lot of pain when mobilising? Does he struggle with transfers (toilet/ bed/ chair) or getting in and out the bath? Just thinking he might benefit from an Occupational Therapist's assessment to see if there is any equipment which might make things easier for him. You can self-refer to OT here, but I don't know if it's the same everywhere. Hugs to you both. (Hoping Mr ionafan doesn't mind hugs from strange women  )

There was a parcel waiting for me at mum and dad's - that's the last one I've ordered - another tick on the list.

Just done another laundry shuffle and made myself a sandwich. I'll eat that then get changed and go over to see H. Posivibes for H would be most welcome - undergoing chemo following op for removal of breast cancer after 8 years clear. Also posivibes for D if you have any to spare: yesterday D had another round of chemo following his latest op, and today he is in the divorce courts trying to thrash out a settlement or somesuch. And, if there are any posivibes left after that, some for my friend J whose mum is dying - they're just counting the days.

Well, that put 'not being on top of the housework' in to perspective for me!!!

    Count your blessings eh?
