  • Thanks for the well wishes Ladies - conversation had & went as well as could be expected.

Five loads of washing done, two huge bags of stuff ready to take to the CS, final presents wrapped, the usual kibble re-homed. Also managed to squeeze in a dog walk. Need to nip to post office and CS before school run. Karate for DS tonight, then I shall collapse in a heap on the sofa!

Round 3 completed :T plus a card delivered in the village on behalf of Lorna. :j I'm not in the pond :D and I'm full of goat's cheese, sun-dried tomato and spinach quiche, coleslaw, potato wedges and ermmm leaves (aka side salad - but actually ... leaves :) ).

I've changed back in to my scruffs, done another laundry shuffle and switched on the tree lights :)

The plan for this afternoon/ evening is at least one 15 minutes present wrapping, and one 15 minutes pot washing - and I'm going to cook an extra chicken piece this evening for DS's pack up tomorrow.

That'll be everything on today's list with a tick next to it. :A

    So a leisurely afternoon after a full-on morning :)

I need to go to the supermarket on my way home as I was away visiting friends at the weekend. The last of my Christmas presents were finally delivered today so tonight I can start wrapping. I need to post one of my presents so I am cutting it very fine this year. Eek.

    • Catch up on the laundry .. ironing is tomorrows job! Done
    • Phone someone you 'forgot' to post a card/present to in time.. just so they know you've not forgotten them... N/A

Thought I'd quickly run through today's listy as our "Big Day" is THURSDAY. And we have Mr LW's pal coming over on Wednesday evening (I refuse to have visitors on the actual Sabbats).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • At my presents are wrapped and sitting under the tree except for my friend's which I have managed to post. There is a post office near me that's part of a Spar so it's open until 22:00 which means my parcel should be picked up first thing and saves me having to queue in town tomorrow.

I never made it to the supermarket on the way home but I did have just enough supplies in to make some dinner. If I am up early enough I will go on my way to work.

I'm going to my parents' for Christmas so I don't (think) I have anything else to do for it. I've got a few bits and bobs my mum has asked me to being down but I think that's it.

I would like to get my home ship shape before heading off so that it's tidy for when I get back. Ironically my RoD is now the best room in the flat at the moment. :D

I'm saving cleaning out the hamster's cage until Thursday so that I won't need to do it again whilst I'm away.

    Evening all

It will feel a bit 'weird' Froddington, as HB says it's like the anticipation of finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel (and knowing it's not the lights of an oncoming train).

Pleased to read ATB that your 'chat' is successfully out of the way

    - Went to Clubbercise
    - Went to Mr A
    - Made up goodie boxes x 2 for local people visited by friend who is a waterways chaplain
    - Organised "stockings" for mum, mil and bil
    - one load washing done
    - one report finished
    - present finally tracked down and reserved for Mr N
    - Tried to get malaria tabs from pharmacy but as where we are going is only low risk, his computer system wouldn't let him give them, so we have to go back to the GP. Waste of resources, GP is busy with ill people.
    - picked foliage for another flower arrangement, this time for us
    - caught up with some of Olympia equestrianism
Froddington it will all end out well but may feel strange

    Morning,
Well I didn't get to post yesterday evening, but I did spend it doing all the admin and accounts for the volunteering job. Even as I was doing it, I was thinking - ah well, not posting but it's a big tick off the list!
Otherwise yesterday went in a daze of work and dailies. I'm just writing a shopping list so that I can get to Mr S on my way back from dropping DD at school. Then it will be on to the lists. My kitchen needs a good clean - I vaguely remember saying that last week, the week before.....:o

Have good days, ladies. Catch you later.

    Good morning

I didn't need to cook the extra chicken piece as DS informed me he has a Christmas lunch with his work colleagues planned for today; he had told me, I'd forgotten - if I don't write it down it disappears in to the shed that is my head :D

I didn't do the 15 minutes x wrapping :o but I did WUDUPA a bowl of pots, wash & recycle two jam jars and go through this week's tv guide highlighting programmes to watch: which meant that last night I watched a programme from 7 til 8, then turned OFF the tv for an hour and read my book until my next programme started at 9. Usually I would flick through channels in the intervening hour and end up watching carp. As my friend, Lorna, said at lunch yesterday 'who are you? and where's Donna?' :rotfl:

ooo I'm going to be on list this morning: WRAP, WRAP, WRAP, :T interspersed with pot washing so I don't crease my back! And this afternoon I'm finally visiting a colleague/friend who's having chemo - I had a sore throat for 5 weeks so daren't go anywhere near her impaired immune system. I was planning on calling at Mr T's on the way over, but I'm nowextremely wary of that slippery slip road! We'll see - I haven't opened the curtains yet: it might not even be freezing out there!

Oh I forgot - I ran the WM empty on a hot wash last night to give it a clean - never in my life done that before. Flyladies rule ok :)

  • Tuesday - Not long now!!!!
    • Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents! Never mind children, I need to tidy my bedroom. :o
    • Vacuum through downstairs.. and the stairs! I don't have a downstairs but will vacuum at least the hall this evening.
    • Mop the kitchen floor! Will do
    • Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good! I will load the dishwasher. I also want to clean the dishwasher before heading down the road.
    • Iron yesterdays wash mountain Mum did a heap of ironing when she came up to visit last week. I didn't ask she just took it upon herself, not that I am complaining. :D
    • Get out any special christmas crockery and make sure it is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too! N/A
    • Prepare a list for that last second shopping Tried to buy some champagne that was on special offer this morning only to discover I can't buy alcohol before 10am so will need to go back later on.
    • Declutter your desk.. Will do
    • Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie! :rotfl: There are a few things I would like to watch but as my dad is in control of the remote the chances of me seeing any of it are slim to none. Even when I host Christmas I don't get to watch things I would like. Never watch the Queen's speech in my life. It wasn't until I went to university that I found out it was even a thing.
    • Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up All good I think.
    • Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike.. On list
    • WRAP WRAP WRAP! All done :A
    • Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!! Bins are collected tomorrow so I will need to put them out tonight.
    • Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat! My downstairs neighbours have invited me and some of the other neighbours down for mulled wine and mince pies.

I need to make a list of what to pack and then get packing. I was hoping to start loading the car up on Friday evening ready for an early start on Saturday morning but I've been invited to a poker game on Friday night. I won't be out late and definitely no booze.
