Err. I think I have forgotten the concept of organisation, planning, preparation and flying. I haven’t seen a gym in weeks, I’ve been living off pizza and chocolate, and thank goodness the cleaner is doing the basics because I’ve been doing S*d all.

I need to get a grip.

    Today:

    - Wrap presents.
    - marzipan cake
    - Hang tree decorations bought in Prague (wonderful weekend away - I am almost into festive mood. Roll on Friday when killer job finishes)
    - Send new CV to recruitment woman
    - Prep potatoes for Xmas roasties
    - Stew last of apples that are slowly rotting in the passage
    - Play freezer Tetris for Friday’s delivery
    - Shop for baking ingredients and icing.
    - Compare breakdown covers after AA renewal came through:eek:
    Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • No flying done in the house yesterday but I did get all my domestic admin done, so very pleased and now able to relax a bit. House needs a good clean round, DD1 home late tonight, day got off to a bad start as a candle holder with candle still in it got put in dishwasher so everything covered in waxy film and dishwasher smells of Christmas Cranberries or the like. Cleaned it all out and it is now running a 2nd hot wash with a couple of eucalyptus bleach tablets in so hoping that will make it smell better.

WM already on so off to make DD1 bed and change DD2 bed.

On holiday skiing for Christmas so not much to prepare or wrap etc (holiday is family present, just do stocking / token gifts).

Time to go and do beds, then dust and hoover.

Hugs to all, and don't forget to SMILE

fbo welcome back, we missed you. I haven't run for a while but am confident I can start afresh and do that Park Run by my 60th in April. Have just started back at gym after a bad cold, snow, visitors and a fairly emotional few weeks.

The MSE email highlights cheap Xmas veg 19p in a price war so I think I'll wait till I get to mum's tomorrow and be a bit more targeted rather than just take stuff down.

Have started flower arrangement for Bil.
    Lists everywhere.
    TV recorder set.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Welcome back kazwookie, FBO and juliejim

I seemed to have gained a day this week - it's only Wednesday today, not Thursday as I had thought!!! :D And if my calculations are correct, that means that Mr and Mrs LW won't be celebrating properly until tomorrow

Yesterday I decluttered a number of things off my list including college library and MrS shop, but MrS in our town didn't have the Amaretto my DD had asked for (at least, not in the smaller size which is on offer and therefore cheaper per 100 ml than the bigger size, so why would I want to buy the bigger one?) so I shall have to drive to the next nearest branch and try there. Not a hardship, as there are a couple of other shops nearby that I want to look in as well. Must also call at our local CS - fer-fling! - and wool shop.

DH has agreed to help me put up the outside decorations this morning, so we shall begin to look festive soon :xmastree:

Hugs, spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
  • I achieve so much more when I come on here and fess up!

    - Cake marzipan done
    - Apples stewing
    - AA comparison done - just need DH home from night shift to check he didn’t get cover included when he had his mid life crisis (went out and bought a GTI!)

    Wrapping next. Uggggh.

  • Morning All,

Busy morning, DS got up at 5am so by the time I turfed them out of the door to school/pre-school, we were all exhausted!

Run some errands now home to clean up, get the WM on and generally attempt to create some order. Kiddies break up tomorrow, and boy are we all ready for it.

Lovely to see you back FBO
Frodders I am thinking of you not long to go now Yippppeee!
If I don't get back on before tomorrow enjoy your celebrations tomorrow LW xx
YL - I hope you are having some time off from both jobs between Christmas and new year?

    Big hugs all round xx

  • Yay. It pays to phone up and threaten to leave after 14 years. Saved £90 on cover. I know I could get it cheaper with a garage based company, but living where we do and doing a lot of solo travelling I like the reassurance of a fleet based service.

    All presents wrapped *polishes halo*:D

I feel soooo much better already. Thank you fly ladies.

Ok, so someone stole the morning and somehow it is afternoon.

I need to do some things off the lists as my own lists are just getting ignored. So far today - and it is a pitiful list, so I am putting it on here just so that I can hang my head in shame and then get on to it -
    I have:
Dropped DD at school and returned some malfunctioning fairy lights for refund. As I bought them in good time in November, of course they have now sold out)
    Stripped beds
    WM running
    Cleared a small ironing pile
Been for a 4 mile walk with a friend and her spaniel. I also haven't run for a couple of weeks, and quite honestly the motivation has seeped away. I need to find it again. When it is not so muddy and slippy everywhere maybe.
Washed hair (trying to list everything here so that I sound busy!)
Errrr I think that might be it. Apart from waste time looking for a new phone for DD as her's seems to finally be giving up completely. Of course it would just before Christmas. Luckily her birthday is in January.

Welcome back Kaz, FBO and Juliejim.

The kitchen floor is calling, but then so is the present wrapping.
