Good Afternoon All,
It is so mild here today, crazy to think it is Christmas in just 3 days! Kids have been off school all of half a day and have bickered constantly... but on the plus side, are going to grandmas shortly for a 2 night sleepover
My plans this afternoon involve a long, uninterrupted shower, a nap, some wine and a film. Bliss. I have tidied the kitchen and done a load of laundry already, so should have very little to do later on. Hoping the postie brings my cards today, looking forward to them

Round 1 completed. I've also washed the headlights on DS's car and washed/ recycled 6 glass bottles.
The only thing left in the wash pile is a tea-towel, but DS is in the shower so, later, I'll put clean towels in the bathroom, and tomorrow I'll do a towel wash. I've also asked DS to put anything that wants washing that is currently in his floordrobe in to the wash - so I'd better mentally prepare myself for another mountain of washing waiting to be done when I go upstairs.
DS has put the presents he'd like me to wrap on my bed, as requested, so I'll wrap those today and my presents for him in the morning.
Perspective has been achieved again: DF's DS is in hospital in New Zealand: he's 22 and working over there for the winter (their harvest). They thought it was his appendix, but scans have revealed something on his bowel and they want to operate. Poor DF doesn't know which way is up at the moment. At least Hemel Hempstead is in this country - DS has just set off. Healing vibes in the southern hemisphere and safe journey vibes over here would be most welcome.
I need to keep busy 'til I get a text from DS to say he has arrived safely. So ....
Round 2=
- change towels in bathroom
- wrap presents for DS
- breathe
Get well soon vibes to everyone with a lergy and healing vibes to all poorly ones.

Sorry to hear about your fall, mrs-mp, and Honey Bear I hope you feel better soon. Posivibes winging their way to NZ, roundtuit.
Outside lights are all up, bar the wreath on the door which just needs finishing off, and DH has put the lights on the Christmas tree in the LR. I will do the baubles later, when I put up the holly branches and lights on top of the LR bookshelves and DR cupboards.
I was at MrAl just after 8.00 this morning, did two rounds and filled a shallow trolley each time (I can't reach to the bottom of the deep ones). On the way home I delivered a couple more cards and picked up DH's prescription. I have put away all the shopping and have enough food in the house to feed a small army, but hopefully it will mean that we won't need to shop again before all the family descend on us on New Year's Eve. I have also arranged to visit my friend with the small baby tomorrow morning
It's very foggy here today but Rosie still wants a walk, so that will have to happen next. Then I think a bit of time catching up on sleep will have been earned.
(((Hugs)))), spoons, sticks and GWS wishes all round, as needed x0 -
