    (((Hugs))) to dancemum x

Enormous congratulations to Dizzy - Happy New Home! Now I have even more reason to come and see you in the spring x

Tree baubles are up :xmastree: so are the stars hanging from the kitchen light fitting.
Found a robin to put on the Christmas log for DGS3+4, in line with family tradition (though sadly not the original family robin).

I now have half a large holly tree drying off in the utility so that it doesn't leave dirty marks on the walls when I finally get round to putting it up tomorrow.

Must write myself a list for tomorrow because Sunday will be manic with four church services and a dog walk!

^ ^ ^ Wot she said - couldn't have put it better myself.

    (((Hugs))) Dancemum and Fayolle.

I've spent the day studiously ignoring my list and resting, while dosing myself up with Day Nurse (always works for me) and echinacea (new for me) and the combination seems to have subdued the worst of the symptoms so I'll be able to carry on as normal over Christmas. Off to the turkey farm tomorrow and then it's all systems go for three days.

Thank you everyone for the cards, particularly Natty for doing all the sorting and posting. OH put them up and they're looking lovely. Chocolate scoffed as medicine - who knew it was effective for colds.
    Better is good enough.
  • Aww Dizzy love, feel a little emotional, have followed you through this journey and so so happy for you xxx May you stay dry, warm and safe and the memories of what happened be long forgotten!

HB I am a big Echinacea fan, DH says its nonsense and its in my head but I know it helps. Hope you are feeling better soon and same to other poorlies.

    Sorry about your Uncle Dancemum.

So. Relaxed, happy and excited. Spent last night playing board games (including chess which I am rubbish at) with DS while the other two were in the pub.

All presents wrapped, 16 of us tonight for a bit of a feast and a few drinks so just need to deal with laundry, run the hoover around and make the house presentable then its on with getting food sorted.

Oh but just going through my finances first - better make another coffee!

Had a bad news text so rang to clarify. An uncle has been given 1-2 weeks. :(

    ((hugs)) xx

    Morning everyone

I really do have the flylady bug - oh please, please, let it be a permanent condition. I lay in bed thinking: I'll get up, make the bed, get DS's presents out of the drawer under the bed ready to wrap, get dressed and take DS's bin down with me ('cause I didn't do it last night). All done :)

While the kettle was boiling for my brew I loaded the WM with towels and sorted the recycling in DS's bin from the rubbish - it's all ready to go in the appropriate bins when I've put my shoes on. (Digress: the USA flylady wasn't for me as she said you had to wear shoes!!! I only wear shoes when I step outside, and even then, not always! Indoors it's socks mostly, or bare feet if it's really hot, slippers if my feet are really cold - and they're kicked off the minute I warm up. Shoes are NOT required for flying at this house thank goodness :D)

    Round 1 =
-laundry shuffle (so washed towels can go on airer when WM finishes)
    -feed birds
    -put out rubbish & recycling
-put pans in bowl to soak (I've reached the pans for WUDUPA :T I always leave them 'til last)
    -breakfast

    Back soon

    Morning all.

    Hugs to Dancemum.

Dizzy - so pleased you're back in your house. I have been in awe of how you have managed these last two years.

I am back in the land of the living today after almost a week with a cold (yes I'm a wuss) but feeling ok today. I have wrapped the last of the Christmas presents and fed me and the dogs. DH has asked me to clear the hot spots today and prep the table for Christmas day breakfast.

I am also taking the dogs to the big park for a run around. I also have paperwork to do and a trip to the PO.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Good morning everyone :hello:

Dizzy you must be so pleased that you're in your house for Christmas.

Honey Bear and Jazee glad to here you're both starting to feel better.

I am getting ready to head down to my parents' for Christmas later this morning. I am mostly packed but I still need to clear the boot of my car because I still have my bike carrier, track pump and various other bicycle tools in there before I can start loading it.

I'll give the kitchen and bathroom a quick s&s before heading off as well.

  • I'm up because he's still hanging on and hoping for the lad's Christmas present delivery, but sleeps like a brick. Going to start off with more washing up with a view to vacuuming the stairs if he doesn't emerge by 11.30.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    30 minutes me-time now :D.
