    Ninth Anniversary
    Hello
Big thank you for all my cards, I have loved reading them, they really make Christmas special.
Have just found out my sisters funeral will be in January(-it was August when she died )upsetting but at least it can now go ahead and we can say our goodbyes.
A court case will follow later next year .:(

Time for a cuppa and to find happy face as visitors expected soon

  • Jojo be careful with the cat and the mistletoe berries I think they may be poisonous

Thank you again for the cards and narco for the lovely bar of chocolate.

Hugs to all and I hope everyone is well and about ready x

He'd have to leap eight foot in the air straight up to reach them - when he can't manage getting onto the windowsill without sustaining minor concussion in the process.

Guess who isn't getting a Christmas present [again] this year?

HE didn't think it was necessary and only mentioned it when he realised he had a present.

Silence has reigned in here for the last four hours. A very uneasy silence. In which the shops were still open. But he has been here in the silence for the entire duration. He seems more concerned by the silence than had I gone ballistic.

It's going to be very quiet all Christmas if he doesn't get the %*"_%%_*(%$% idea soon. Unless he manages something to cause me to break the silence, because at the moment, if I open my mouth, I'm pretty sure all Hades is going to break forth at him.

So pleased you are finally back in your house Dizzy. x

Katiecat Huge hugs. Can’t imagine how you have coped with that x

Valli thanks. No peanut hiding here as they would finish ds2 off.

Ds1 & DH have been to see the new Star Wars film whilst I entertained ds2 rather unsuccessfully.

    Usual dailies done.

Katiekat - ((hugs)) that sounds so difficult.
Bossy - we miss you - hope you are ok. Lovely to hear from you.

Sausage rolls and mince pies made. It looks as if more of each may be required by tomorrow evening!
    Good night! X
  • Oh my what an evening. Big family party, 19 of us. My DS and my nephew (both 16) sneaked off with a bottle of vodka and drank so much my nephew couldn't stand and DS was throwing up into a bucket every 2 minutes. dS1 was drinking everything in sight, argued with his GF on the phone and started crying so had to be tucked up in bed. All before 10pm. I decided that the only way to deal with all of this was to drink waay too much Prosecco. Hangover report tomorrow x
  • He caused the silence to break.

Something about how awful would be for the lad to not have a present to open on Christmas Day and could I give him some ideas on how to break the news to him that he's just got money until it's delivered, because how terrible is it for somebody to not get one of their presents on Christmas Day, repeated at least five times before it got pointed out that it must be terrible for somebody only to have about twenty presents.

The fact that there has been no food cooked because the kitchen is too messy and no food can be provided because the kitchen is too dirty for somebody taking chemotherapy drugs to risk something prepared in it hasn't helped. Or the two stone weight loss as a result of medication induced nausea and the kitchen being too dirty to cook in it more than once a week for the last x number of months hasn't helped. There might have been a comment about how did this go down with his ex; clue being that she didn't tolerate it.

He's now flopping about like a dying swan because I'm being angry.

JoJo, I hope things improve for you today.
    Good to see you Bossy.

Katiecat- hugs for you. Our family went through a similar timeframe and court case just over four years ago. At the time I felt I’d been dropped into an episode of Eastenders. Some fly ladies may remember my panic at the time. Day to day life now goes on as normal, whatever that is but tomorrow will be the first Christmas we’ll all be together again and I think it may have difficult moments. I’ll be thinking of you.

    Morning everyone else!

Oven is on here to cook meat. Prawns are out to defrost and I’m about to prep veg. Floors need a going over too.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

Morning ladies - thank you for all your lovely comments! So pleased to be in, but I'm now stressing about my parents arriving today as I know the house is waaaaay too dusty for my mother's liking....sigh...

Wave to Bossy  so nice to hear from you!!!
Jojo - I'm not sure anything I can say would make things better, so sending hugs x
Yorkie - how's the head? I remember when my DSS got plastered on Pimms at a friend's BBQ a few years back (I thought he was drinking Pepsi as the mix was that dark ) and he was sick nine times in the car, his shower, his bed and finally a bucket. Happy days ;)

My flylady cards arrived yesterday - the stagecoach stopped here en-route to you Lynne. Thanks to Narc0 for the choccie....duly scoffed...and Honey Bear, the paint brushes are in to soak for a few days, during the festivities.

Plan for today: Hoover some more dust, light woodburner, tidy spare bedrooms (two, as Mum won't sleep next to Dad as he snores). Cook gammon and prep veg for tomorrow. Drink gin. Welcome parentals...Drink more gin...

Oh, and move the fish tank into the house.

    Laters x
