    Good morning everyone :hello:

Just loaded WM, which cleared the last of the dirty laundry :T. I'm having breakfast and the bowl isn't even half full of pots, but they will be WUDUPA this morning. I can see my kitchen worktops and the cooker top :T - makes me smile when I walk in and see SPACE :j:T The tester will be keeping it that way once I'm back at work full time: but for now I'm enjoying the flow of released energy in there :D

I'm surrounded by DF's going through grim times just now: DF1's son in NZ will have had his operation by now whilst his father is winging his way over there to be with him and DF1 is left at home going mad with worry. DF2's mum died on Thursday - expected, but still grim. DF3 asked if she could 'drop in' last night: 3 hours later she left looking a lot better than when she arrived, and I went to bed totally drained and pleased I swore off men twenty years ago!! (Budgies are a lot less hassle :D )

I need to make myself a list for today: what I need to do/ where I need to be and when. Once it's written down I find 'to do' often slots in nicely round 'to go' :D So I'll drop off youngest godson's card/money on my way to mum and dad's at lunch - rather than end up making two trips because I wasn't organised. DS mentioned that he needed to buy a couple of last bits so I'm going to rely on him picking up bread and crisps, which is all we need (and we can manage without crisps. Well, I can: seeing as I've eaten so many the past few days :o )(quality control )

    So, Round 1 =
    -write list
    -dailies

Hope you all have a lovely day

    Morning all

    About to shower,
Still have a few jobs to do, nothing major. Am doing dinner tomorrow for the second time only since we moved here in 1998; just 3 to sit and eat as the Vallikids are working.

    Morning all X

    Get well soon Honeybear X
Well done roundtoit, I'm hoping to clear some worktops later. X

Ds2 won't let us watch tv unless he puts it on. So onwards with lists.

Mouldy bathroom and bedroom ceilings cleaned
    House henried by DH.
    Recycling out
    Bathroom cleaned
    Pots washed
Most of us have colds nothing major.
Bil came to swop presents last night and I have just found some he left behind so I have to pop them around later.
Ds1 has just got up so is just sat in his room. He is off to his gf's family later until Boxing Day.

Round 1 completed plus cider put in the fridge for when we get home tomorrow :D.

For a snapshot in time I had no dirty laundry and no dirty pots. Then DS brought a drinks bottle down, and his suitcase in from the car - oh well, it was nice while it lasted. I've resisted the urge to wash the bottle and put on another wash: that way lies madness!!

DS has added bread and crisps to his shopping list (which is in his head - so we'll see ;)) and I've reminded him about checking the date on the bread. I think he'll remember though as he's asked for a lift to and from the pub this afternoon ;) - my list has been duly tweaked to incorporate the taxi runs. + I expect he'll want his last presents wrapping too (which I'll be glad to do as it feels strangely surreal NOT wrapping on Christmas Eve!)

Next job is to clean out Sweetie and change his seed and water - but he's snoozing at the moment, so I'll do that later.

    Coffee then :coffee:

    Afternoon,
I logged on about 3 hours ago to post, but I seem to have got distracted...
Thank you Narc0 for my chocolate. DH has already clocked it, so I had better eat it. ;)
I thought I only had a few jobs - and no wrapping - to do today, but the few jobs seem to have multiplied. Nothing major, just small things here and there. Dinner is about to be prepped to go in the slow cooker for this evening, although DD now has a streaming cold and is feeling generally meh.

DH has been driving me mad by sorting out more treasures....today he has obviously got to pictures. Despite my - ahem - protestations, he has been banging nails in the walls. So much so that I think come January I can charge entrance fees as an alternative to the Tate. :rotfl:

Dinner to prep now - actually no - maybe I had better get tomorrow's sausages etc out of the freezer before I forget!

  • Oh JoJo hope the day is getting better for you.

Got myself out of bed to say goodbye and Happy Christmas to DSs GF who was an absolute angel last night, dealing with her drunk boyfriend in such a grown up way. I got a big hug and an apology from DS2. Words will be had about this, but not today.

DS1 is sad because there is trouble between him and his GF. I have to try really hard to stay out of it all. I am sure it will sort itself out.

I am a little hungover but we have been to the shops and I bought a few last minute things. Fire lit, telly on, have had a nap and I have been reading. Bliss.

    Lefover party food anyone ?x
  • Sorry been Rushing about getting not much done today just wanted to nip in and wish everyone a very peaceful day tomorrow. X

My afternoon suddenly felt a bit tetris-like as I was hit by an unexpected flurry of 'can you just's from dad and DS  But :A presents and cards have been dropped off/ picked up as requested, car boot has been loaded (in daylight and with DS's help) ready for overnight stay at friends' tonight - it's the only night of the year when I don't sleep in my own bed :( . Sweetie has a clean cage, seed and water, DS has been deposited at the pub with instructions to be at the pick up point at 6 o'clock (the 'or else' was implied rather than stated :D) and I'm just dropping by to say :xmassign: before I shower and change, pack my bag and pick him up.

DF's son is out of surgery in NZ - healing vibes heading down under.

I won't be home til this time tomorrow so I'll wish you all A Peace Filled and Happy Christmas

    With love and thanks

Ronnie has done so well the last couple of days; now, this is a little dog who doesn't eat well when away from home, and who is nervous/aggressive towards other dogs because he has been attacked and injured twice in his little life, the first time when he was just a puppy.

Yesterday afternoon he made friends nicely with Rosie Spaniel and afterwards ate a good portion of food with minimal coaxing. This morning he ate a reasonable breakfast; and just an hour and a half ago he made friends with an 8-month-old Beagle/JRT cross named Lola - in fact he was chilled enough that I was able to hand Lola's Mum a business card for the dog-sitting service, as she said she might need to use it at some point.

Other than dealing with Ronnie's needs, I have not done a lot, just made an apple & mincemeat crumble (to be cooked after the veggie toad-in-the-hole we're having for dins) and a bit of tidying round, putting away of clean washing, stuff like that.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow, all those who will be celebrating. :xmastree:
