Another thing to beware of when leaving Outfox is the exit fee. Although I was within the 49 days of the end of my contract they have still added the £30 exit fee. I have emailed several times and get placating replies but no action.
Never have I had cause to complain to the ombudsman before but as soon as the 8 weeks are up I will be contacting them about Outfox.
I am a serial switcher and have been with many companies, I cannot recommend them to anyone who wants a good service and no hassle. You need to be on their case all the time.
Update: Outfox (Fisher) had refunded the £30 on the 5th June. I didn't check my bank and as I hadn't heard from them yet again so presumed they hadn't refunded.0 -
Hi Clif
Are you implying I'm mistaken?0 -
You obviously joined before me because Outfox The Market have had no exit fees since I became a customer in 2019 and according to Trustpilot, this provider has now improved beyond all recognition with 4.5 stars, but unfortunately MSE don't acknowledge the improvement for obvious commission driven reasons (MSE do deserve some credit though for still listing whole of market, unlike some other comparison websites)!0

I'm not Keith Bastian!😂0

Fair and honest is not their default.0 -
That would be the Mr Bastian who thinks he doesn't need to file company accounts?0

Energy providers are in business to make a profit, for example British Gas entice you with a cheap one year fixed rate tariff hoping that you forget and end up on their expensive standard variable rate tariff, but if you monitor your tariff with Outfox The Market you won't find a cheaper dual fuel deal (which at the moment is their standard variable rate tariff)!0

If I was switching today, Zog/Symbio would be cheapest for me.The recommendation on this forum is always to check separate suppliers as well as dual fuel, as this is, after all, a money saving website and dual fuel is often (inexplicably) more expensive.0

The Zog Energy rollover plan is a rip-off, therefore, I would recommend that new customers go for Outfox The Market One Green Flex 2.0 (standard variable rate tariff) for CONSTANTLY cheap energy and EXCELLENT customer service (plus dual fuel is easier to administer, with the added benefit of no exit fees)!0

What has rollover got to do with it? Anyone interested in best value switches at the end of a plan. You're really clutching at straws now. Let's be clear, there are cheaper options than OFTM market's dual fuel offering. People after the best value don't object to dealing with two suppliers, doubly so if neither of them is kept afloat by profits from high-priced Fischer heaters.1
