Even more interesting is that Ebico (2nd) has its energy supplied by RHE under licence who also provides Ebico with customer service and billing functions. Yet RHE is down at 19/20th place depending on which Which? chart you look at.
Also, drilling down into the numbers (as seems to be the trend nowadays), I see the following:
Bill Accuracy - Ebico 5 stars / RHE only 4 stars (it's the same people using the same process)
Customer Service - Ebico 4 stars / RHE 0 stars (RHE provide the customer service finction for Ebico!)
Digital Tools - Ebico 4 stars / RHE 0 stars (not sure what Digital Tools refers to, but the ebico online account is provided by RHE, despite being branded as ebico. I may be wrong, but apart from the brand name, I believe the online account functionality is identical)
Go figure!

I had compiled my list from the Which? ratings that I saw when I ran the figures for supplying L17 postcode in the example earlier.
The quotes came up with ratings for suppliers that are not in the table that you linked to, and miss suppliers such as Bulb, who I didn't get quotes for when searching dual fuel in L17.
ETA - I didn't see Bulb in the results because they were 22% more expensive than the cheapest supplier!0 -
JimGold said:Interesting, but I thought there were 70 or more energy suppliers in GB, so that list only covers about half of them. (Maybe the bottom half? Maybe the top half? Who knows?)
There aren't enough reports from members to provide meaningful ratings from the very small suppliers. That tends to be the case with any review site.1 -
Nick_C, well done for your low usage table and high usage table, however, what about a medium usage table with Outfox The Market cheapest as usual?😂0

Is this the start of a fine romance? Many a true word is spoken in jest!😂0

Unfortunately there are some contributors on this forum ( i shall not name them, we know who they are) will always bad mouth OTM. And if anyone dares complement OTM, they will openly accuse them of being:
1. Staff
2. TP is fake
3. PCW is fake as OTM is not the cheapest etc
4.Customer feedback is fake
I shall leave everyone to make up their own minds & no prizes to recognise the perpetrators.
As i mentioned in one of my earlier posts, while OTM is not the best of the suppliers out there based on which, TP, CAB scores, they are most certainly making a valiant attempt to give customers choice & support them with some of the cheapest tariffs in the market. I shall leave people to do their own research & decide for themselves.
Monthly Energy costs = P x Q (Price x Quantity)
Price = Unit rates + Standing charge
Quantity = consumption based on meter reads
There is no secret to this mantra. The P is in the gift of the supplier. The Q is dependent on any consumers lifestyle. Simples! No mystery.
The rest is all noise.

For my own home, the cheapest dual fuel supplier is currently Tonik. They are £8.67 a year cheaper than OTM, and they have a Which? customer score of 71%. On that basis, if I was switching supplier right now, I would switch to Tonik. Cheaper than OTM with a better Which? score, but with a £60 exit fee. Or Yorkshire Energy, also slightly cheaper than OTM with no exit fee but no Which? rating.
Two separate suppliers would not save me any money.
I have no loyalty to OTM. But they are getting a lot of unfair comments from disgruntled former customers (or rivals) with an axe to grind. They are also getting a lot of comments from you and other supporters who are going out of you way to promote them. As others have said, many people commenting on this thread have a very low number of posts, and their opinions should be considered with caution.
Based on my own experiences with OTM, I think the MSE CEC rating is unfair, and as a long time forum member I have no reservations in recommending them where they are the cheapest supplier.2 -
Thanks Nick_C for a fair and objective post.
I am no supporter of OTM. For the purpose of integrity & scrutiny, I would urge all consumers to take their pick amongst 60 odd suppliers in the market & based on their lifestyle choice & personal circumstances switch to any supplier that best meets their requirements. After all if you are unhappy, feel free to switch away anytime during the day or night in 30 seconds, ensuring suppliers do not take their custom for granted & keeping suppliers keen & honest every time.
Therefore 60 suppliers, go to any switching site & cherry pick the best one that suits you.!

I am no supporter of OTM. ...You said you were "Friends" earlier?Or was that you were friends with the other positive posters here?In either case you must admit while there are those making disingenuous overly negative posts, there are also those making disingenuous overly positive posts. If you are friends with these people or OTM then can you suggest they stop as it's making the company look desperate, petty, and is also breaking the Forum rules by pretending to be customers to make false positive reviews. If people here work for OFM they can create a Verified Company account and help people on this forum properly?

For clarity i am not friends with anyone of the company. I am a fan of OTM and similarly a fan of So energy & green.energy. By being a fan i don't profess to hold a candle to them but having been a customer for just over 2 years, i have found them good in my experience. If you read my posts you will observed that i have repeatedly said they are not the best company put there, simply because of the dogs dinner they made in Nov-Dec 2018. However post that they have redeemed themselves & been a good company not dissimilar to some of the other suppliers.1
