Good luck bobobski, hope everything goes smoothly for you!
Declaring £918.67 for September, which means I'm up to £10,500ish for the year. Which is over target. Changing goal to the full £12,000, which I never thought would be achievable at all but is looking easily gettable now... thanks for all the inspiration folks!Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Been another busy month, work being manic and a lot of house hunting. Finally found a flat and have an offer accepted, the price is below £450,000 which will allow me to use my Halifax HTB Isa which is good news! Very excited but fingers crossed it all goes through smoothly.
I have a quick question hopefully someone can answer: I have a few regular savers and might well be withdrawing all the cash from them to use as part of my house purchase. Will I still receive interest on these if I withdraw them in full (and close them)? Or should I withdraw all but do NOT close the account? Or should I leave £1 in them to keep them open to still receive the interest?
[STRIKE]-£544.50 (negative) saved in September.[/STRIKE]
I forgot about some money I had transferred for my holiday!! Therefore my total for September is -£45.87
Negative is largely down to a lovely holiday I had in September, so not overly disappointed with the negative figure this month.
Flat purchase is currently going through legals/surveys etc, and am hoping its all done by end of the year (and before Christmas!)
I have been excluding the costs of the flat purchase from my savings as I think that's the most reasonable way of accounting it, for example the costs incurred for my holiday will count against my savings."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I am going to drop out of the challenge for a bit as we have now moved into a phase of spending money (due to buying a new home) instead of saving money.
I feel very silly for joining late and then stopping early but I guess the entire point of saving is so that you can one day spend the money on something. This just happened much sooner than I anticipated (our plan was to wait two years before buying a new home - but when I started looking we found our dream home and decided to move forward now).
I'll still keep an eye on how everyone is doing and rejoin when we go back to saving.0 -

I think that's called hitting your target early - congrats and enjoy the lovely new home that's the reward for all your previous saving! :beer:Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

£5361 for Month of Aug & Sept and £2415 for July.
Haven't been posting updates lately but still keeping my spreadsheets. Looking to break that target early!
Still managing to resisting the car buying temptation which is makes a lot of fiscal sense especially over the intermediate to longer term.
