  • #70 declaring £225 for September. Feels good to see the total amount increasing, albeit at a slower rate than I would have liked. Onwards and upwards....

Had a lovely surprise at work - a bonus.
    Saving for the month £220 + £26 + £2250 = £2496

    £4096 + £2496 = £6592 for the year.
    Target exceeded.

I'm really hoping to have a financially quieter October but when does it ever pan out that way :o

£665.86 saved this month - I'm super happy with this considering it was my birthday last week and I went on a mini-break and bought myself some bits and pieces :)

Total for the year so far - £5,598.73

  • Forgive the delay in updating the sheet.

I thought my total of £20000 would be easy/effortless to achieve.

Reason being I do not recall working all the hours god sends to achieve near this last year.

Well I can say I am exhausted, drained and sometimes moody.
When I get leave from work all I want to do is sleep.

Methinks next years challenge I'm.going to stick with £12,000 and anything I make above will be a bonus, which is what happened last year.

Anyhoo, keep up the good work people.

Thank you SlowlyFading for making this happen.

  • A lower-than-anticipated £850 from me for September, taking my total to £14,350, which is lower than where I was expecting to be 75% of the way through the year - but then again, I've recently spent a lot of money on holiday bookings & gig tickets for 2019. Hopefully, next month will be higher and by the end of the year, I'm hoping to have blown my target out of the water when I add in 2018's Stocks & Shares ISA profits.

    Spreadsheet updated.
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)
