So today was shopping day, no idea how we will cope if I go back to work every day, the weekly shop takes soooo long, and I'd my sister is back to work I will be shopping for my parents weekly too. Was £10 over budget and still need to get some rolls for tomorrow night, but have some fun money funds I can use.
I also signed back up with weight watchers today. I scared myself on the scales at the weekend. I also did a Facebook live event for our guide unit with my sister, let's just say the camera was not flattering. I hate looking like a middle aged frump, I want my clothes to feel good again. I bought a new pair of shorts as my existing ones are old and I wear them for cleaning, so a new pair for not working in.
I will be working all day tomorrow and Wednesday, most of Thursday and have a hospital appointment on Friday. The weird one didn't go back to school as the school cancelled the year 6 intake for some reason and have pushed it back so he goes back on Thursday now.
Slept really badly the last two nights, been suffering with a painful neck and night sweats, another bonus of being middle aged! Hoping for a decent night tonight.
Looking forward to seeing my friend on Thursday, and went and spent some time with my mum and dad today with the small two. The smallest has randomly become obsessed with his family tree so today we looked at photos of his great-great grandparents and learnt their names. I could only tell him his great grandparents (my grandparents) names. I love looking through old photos and seeing similarities. My brother is a ringer for my dad, it's mad. And my dad is looking more and more like his mum. And my great grandfather has my daughter's ears! And my dad's great grandmother looks very much like his sister. It's all quite fascinating. My mil has a big family tree of her mum's family, looking forward to being able to get the smallest to see that.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -
Oof its all been going on with you!
Congrats to hubby on the new role, especially as it lets you do the move that you really want (and I'm guessing once you've moved the cats will be back in the queue of things to get??).
Also good news that you're getting to do some work as well, monies coming in and lets you get back some kind of nice routine (plus I suspect you're like me and it will distract you from wanting to munch all the time)
Love that your so excited about the hoover, that would not be top of my excitement list mainly because I don't think I enjoy cleaning as much as you do
Its nice to catch up and see its all going the right way for you with lots of things to look forward to

Oh I don't enjoy cleaning 😂 I don't mind cleaning other people's houses, hate cleaning my own.
The kittens may happen before we move. The market is slow and even if we accepted an offer in September, I doubt we would be in before next year. The breeder I am in touch with has two litters, viewing from three weeks time, so will be seeing how that goes as it may be by video rather than in person, and make a decision then.
Today has been..... interesting.....
Went with the boss to a job about 45 mins away. Diversion on the way there so decided to come home on the A road. Bosses car broke down just off the slip road. Broke down at 1.45pm, got home at 7.30pm. will have lovely tan lines from standing at the side of the road in 24 degrees with no shade.
Another client has been in touch wanting me back from next week, so my week's are looking more full. I have two jobs tomorrow and a job Thursday morning. It's been nice getting a little bit of normal back.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -

Thanks. Another client back on Friday too. So it looks like my income will pick up again slowly. But with the self employment grant scheme I don't need to rush and say yes to everything which is a nice position to be in. Still don't know about my furloughed job though.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3

Hopefully had my last hospital appointment about my shoulder today. Took ages, and I had to wear a mask the whole time, no idea how anyone can work in one it was horrible. But everyone seemed sensible so I have no worries. Apparently a few of the consultants are going to have a meeting about the weird bone thing and decide if they want to see another x-ray in 6 months.
Went to a job, and now back home. Been playing around with the budget a bit and sent £150 to the loan. Had a refund from the boys school for a theatre trip they couldn't go on too. I think I will apply for the next se grant as I won't be back up to normal pay until October at least. Will try and save some for moving costs. Also need to speak to my dad about the money he said we could use. Hoping it would be enough to cover stamp duty which would be brilliant. But I know he gave some to my sister and don't know if it was more than planned and if they paid some of it back.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2 -
So good it posted twice LOL. Ouch to wearing a mask the whole time but better safe than not. Hope they come up with a plan for you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Lol, no idea how though. Will try and edit.
I switched stuff around and managed another £150 to the loan so that is sitting at £5200. After June's payment if I can find another £70 it would drop into the 4000's. But I also need the money for the doors so.....Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2
