Handyman came today and cemented the spike in the lawn for the wahhing line. He also removed the existing pole but I need to sort the huge lump of concrete on that and get it to the tip at some point. Oh well. So tomorrow I will be putting the actual rotary bit into the spike and have the first rotary line I have ever owned! 😂 I got the brand shopping obsessed recommended £50. It will need a cover for the winter so will get one at some point. I have been soooo excited, this is what my life has become 😂

Obviously the handman stayed in the garden, was nice to hae a quick chat though, I stayed in the conservatory.
Tomorrow I am walking to a park area near my sisters. With a flask of coffee and some biscuits, and we will sit 2m apart and catch up. Again stupidly excited. Have only spoken to her once since mid March. Also means the girl will have to leave her bedroom as the hubby will be working so she needs to keep an eye on the small two.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Have to take the excitement where you can these days
Hope you have a lovely day catching up with your sister, and a nice break from home.

I don’t have a cover on mine in the winter, I just wipe it down before using it if I’ve not used it for a few weeks. I love my rotary line, its probably 6yrs old and still looks like new.
hope you had a lovely day with your sister yesterday. It’s lovely that we can be slightly more relaxed about meeting people as long as we keep our distance.3 -
Line is amazing. Omg at the excitement going on in this house hey?! 😂
Walked to meet my sister, was quicker than I thought. Was nice and sunny and we stayed about two hours. Was blissful. Got a bit of an update on my furloughed job (it's my bil company) and it is more positive than I thought. I think they will be OK, but not sure I will have a job to go back to. I was taken on to help out as they were expanding, so it may be that there actually won't be a position for me t the end of furlough. Which is one of the reasons a house move is postponed atm. But I know if they do get a chance to have me back my work was fine so I would be top of the list. It's just a waiting game atm.
Was just so nice to have a chat though.
Today I have stripped our bed and washed the bedding. It's now hung on my new line 😁 I have also run the freezers down so crammed it all in one so the other is defrosting, it's long overdue, normally do it in Jan! Productive day so far.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉6 -

glad you had a nice time with your sister. Positive news on the job front so fingers crossed it continues to stay positive.

Glad you were able to get out and catch up with your sister. Good that it sounds like their business will survive. With furlough now being extended hopefully you have a fighting chance of being kept on for a while.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

So today I upgraded my phone. And saved £16 a month. Have to wait until next week as its not available until then, but is a decent brand and the new plan has a good amount of data.
Really struggled this time to find one at the right price. They all seemed super cheap with awful reviews, the brand that Google will no longer support (annoyed as was going to get one as two kids have them and they are decent) or ridiculously expensive. Like £50 a month!!!
I am also the kind of person who likes to go into the shop and try them out in my hand, so ordering it all online was a new one on me. Anyway it is done, coming next week, and will have to set it up myself 😱😂 I am not good with technology so will see how that goes. Need to get a case and screen protector as I don't insure them. Have never fully broken one yet though.
Today has been my shopping day, ended up buying a new kitchen bin as our one gave up the ghost at 13yrs old. The peddle broke. Anyway nice one to replace it, better shape for the kitchen too. Really washing lines, bins, my life is soooo interesting 😂
I have someone coming out to quote for some new doors this week. The front door I ancient, but it opens into the porch so hasn't been a priority, but there is actually a issue with it now, so will need replacing if we are not moving right now. And the back door opens into the conservatory, but it opens the wrong way really, and I want more glass to let in light. Although it is in the house, they shouldn't need to come right in, can keep them in the porch and conservatory for the quote. Hoping my self assessment grant I'll pay for it. If its too much will just get the front one done.
And I am going back to one of my clients. They are still out of the country (flew out just before lock down) so the house is empty, but they want me back in weekly to do some housekeeping. Am actually excited, and means I will actually get some pay next month! Less than £100, but will take that 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5
