Yay positive steps on the going back to work. Anything is better than nothing and an empty house is a dream to blitz through. I want a picture of the bin lol. Love household goods and appliances.2

Love the shiney bin. Can't wait for my cleaner to return but not sure if and when that will be possible with 4 of us at home and 2 of those at moderate risk.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH I have a few clients like that. One was in the shielding group and one is a small house with the couple both working from home, one moderate risk. Will be seeing how it goes next month I think.
Financially my bank accounts went into shock today I think! Se grant went in, an extra tax credits payment and my furlough pay (topped up to 100%). Money put aside for the course I may do I sep, money put aside for new mattresses for three of the kids, topped up xmas, got the rest of the money for the kittens and accompanying cost put aside and a few other wish list items are now fully funded. Am waiting for the quote for the doors and will see what I might move around after that.
I bought £1000 worth of premium bonds and am going to top this up with the £900 I have set aside for our, probably not going to happen, Scottish trip, and try and add to it monthly.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Glad you got the money. Will ask my cleaner whether she has had the grant yet. I've kept paying her for nowAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

So I went into a client's this week. They are stuck abroad so the hous has been empty since mid march (they come from the country they are stuck in so are actually in their other house, not a hardship for them, and family is there too) this house is one of those that attracts insects, took me nearly an hour to get rid of all the cobwebs! But it was nice to be back at work.
Spoke to my boss yesterday and she has a lot of odd one off jobs coming in. One of my clients doesn't want me back until next year,so I doubt I will be back there as I can't hold the spot for her that long. Which is a shame as I really like that job. It will also impact on another one as it's further out so I do the two on the same day to make it worthwhile. So just waiting to hear back from everyone else. Hoping to be back up fully by July though.i doubt hubby will be back in the office until at least September with him needing to take two trains on his commute.
I have been thinking about the course I was wanting to take in September. I think I will wait until next year. I don't think I will know about my furloughed job until right near the end of the scheme, and I could use the money for the doors (just waiting for the quote). I have had to delete all my Rightmove searches as really annoyingly the most perfect house has come up. We would have been putting ours up for sale this month and it would have just all worked out. Am gutted, but we cannot do anything until I know about both my jobs properly.
I also can't see our Scotland trip happening, but am going to save that money incase we can travel as a family and have a few days away in August, I know the hubby is keen.
Today is a year since we had our last holiday on cornwall which was so relaxing. Also today is the day I should have been doing a 15 mile charity walk. I postponed to one in September but I doubt that will go ahead either. Will get a refund if it's cancelled again.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉5
