These are difficult times. We are all bound to feel more motivated on some days than others.

oh disappointing re the job for you OH but it's positive he got good feedback and can now work towards the next one that comes up.
Will be waiting to see if you found your motivation yesterday...…...although at least you currently have time to delay these things without feeling guilty

Lol! I mowed the grass, cleaned the kitchen and downstairs bathroom, sorted some hot spots out in the front room and painted the rest of the boys room. So sort of! Still lots I could be doing, but more difficult today with hubby working.

Sounds like you got a lot done to me. I can cope with lockdown and not going out - but I soooo miss my cleaner (and hairdresser) but especially my cleaner!

Saving Holmes I imagine quite a few of my clients are missing me 😂

A friend got a few of us together and organised a garden centre delivery so I got lots of compost and some flowers and now have four tubs planted up in the front garden. Been inspired with all the gardening going on in the diary section! I will dig in some compost inot the bare beds and scatter some wildflower seeds and see what happens. I did tubs as we may still move so can take them with us 😉

The smallest seems to have finally reached his limit for staying indoors in his pj's, never thought I would see the day! But the weather turning has meant he can't get onto the trampoline.

Weight loss is not going well. Again. I had some success with meal replacement shakes a few years back, so am thinking of doing the 5:2 using them. Need to wait until next week and place an order. I don't want to do it full on as I think keeping anything off just doesn't work, but slowly doing 5:2 might work. And I don't trust myself to eat well on a fast day. Shakes take that problem away. Will have a think.

DH is using Huel - may be able to give you a referral code that benefits both of us if you are interested PM me. I did 5:2 week 1 but since then have just been trying to eat better and less - and it is definitely working. Eating lots more salad - and not automatically adding a jacket spud has helped. Eating some citrus and berry type fruit too. Good luck whatever you decided.

Glad you have been able to do a bit in the garden. I have lots of tubs too even though we have no plans to move - I just think they are more flexible. Good call doing a neighbour group order. Two nurseries near me were charging £5-6 delivery each so not too bad. I've finally finished work for the week and it is pouring down.

Well done on letting your green fingers out to play! I know I will not look after plants so don't bother, although there is a rose bush in my front garden that was just a few dead looking twigs a few years ago and I have done nothing to it but every year it gets bigger and better.....I would have pulled it up but it tries so hard evey year I can't bring myself to do it
I can send you the name of the diet I follow if you want, as much as you want of the foods your allowed and it really has changed my mindset around foods and portion control, I actually eat green things now

Bd80's feel free to pm me the diet.

The only things I don't ill in the garden are lavender and roses. I basically chop te roses to the ground every autumn, always come back lovely. And lavender just seems to work for me. Have even grown huge bushes from seed before?!

On a financial front I did a money transfer to clear hubby's card. His was on 30% interest, and while we have the capacity to clear it before moving (long story but dad has got 10k of an inheritance he will give me for moving costs) while those plans are on hold made sense to try and bring it down and save interest. So hubby is paying £250 a month to it (same as before) and it will actually come down. Both cards are at 4.9% interest with no fees for the transfer. For 18months, so should clear it easily. So 250 paid off on the 1st,£50 from one and £200 from the other. Will keep doing it that way to clear the £1600 ASAP. Will look at increasing anything extra either of us get. And for the first time ever hubby has 1k in a second bank account just sitting there, so am keeping that in mind as an emergency fund.

This last month I have set money aside for our scotland trip (which may well not happen now, but it's funded) an oven clean once we can Hve people in the house again and a new washing line. Have also bumped up the haircut category so the girl can get a professional dye job once hairdressers are open again. It was a post gcse promise and I won't let her box dye it due to the colours he wants.

I also have £500 save out of 1k towards solicitors fees for a possible move. If I get paid from my job on the 20th (honestly not convinced I will still have a job then) this will take it to the full 1k.
Then I need 1k for a course I wanted to start at college in September (if its going to run.) and I also want to start to save a bit towards any removal costs and stamp duty. All while the mortgage drops and after sep penalty fees on current mortgage will drop 1k too.

If I lose one of my jobs then obviously the amount we can borrow will also drop, so we possibly won't move, but anything saved for kovigg costs can then go on debt without accessing money from my dad. Which would still be there if we decide to go ahead later.

Also the breeder I was in touch with for the cats has a litter and another one due next week. So in august/September we may have cats! Need a bit more saved for the initial price and have been researching ongoing costs too. Not fully decided, but no need to decide, won't be able to visit until restrictions lifted anyway.

    Have a good weekend folks.
