Car has been fixed. Had a hire car this week. Did not like it. Was like a tank after my nippy little one. Anyway hopefully this is the end of it.
Have a niggly tooth and swollen gum. Has happened before, it's above the tooth that is root filled and crowned. Sometimes something gets stuck and irritates it and sends it into a hissy fit for a couple of days. Last time I got the dentist to call me and by the time he did (after a weekend) it was all fine again. So if it is still niggly on Monday will get in touch. The only thing left to do is pull the bloody thing out, but it may actually be two as the one behind it is pretty bad too. It's been causing issues for years.
We have bought a table from fb, it's a huge one, hubby wanted one when we moved but the only one we found that would work in the style he liked was £1800 😱🤣 so we passed. Anyway my sister sent me a link to this one it was £50!!!!! Handmade too. We went to collect it, but unfortunately the top didn't split into two which we all thought it did. So we got the base and the seller is hopefully bringing the top tomorrow in his van. We will pay a bit more as he really didn't have too, it is 25min drive away. But it was such a massive bargain we decided wth we would give it a go. Will fill the dining room. I may lost a pic once we have it. Going to have to get it up the stairs. That will probably be quite amusing 🤣
Otherwise we are just moving along as normal. Have a family meal on Sunday, that is going to cost! But have some set aside so should be good.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Sounds like you got a lovely bargain on the table.
Hope the tooth settles.
Sympathise on DD costs. Needs must and all that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Table top was delivered so it is now in situ. It is so solid, and I don't think it will be moved again! However it was nice sitting down for tea and all having enough elbow room, and nothing banging against our legs. It fits the space well, much better than we thought it would.
Tooth is still niggly. It looks like I have a gum abscess, I was hoping it would turn into an ulcer but doesn't appear to be going that way. I will call the dentist on Monday and see if they will look at it in case it needs draining. Dealing with the underlying issue can wait, pretty sure I will lose the remains of the crowned tooth at some point though.
Had a productive day. Put up some shelves in the airing cupboard, using wood from the broken bed and the dismantled wardrobes. Then I organised putting a while load of stuff from the remaining wardrobes into the loft and rearranging the big built in wardrobes (we had so many wardrobes it was ridiculous!) Only one more to come down now. Tip appointment is booked for next weekend, once they are all out our room will be huge! Then I can get on and decorate.
Priced up what the meal will cost (already chosen from the menu) it's over £100 😱 this is why we don't eat out! And that's not including any drinks. I have the funds and it will be nice to see the wider family, but it is still so much money. Better enjoy it I suppose 😂Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -
Hope the tooth settles down.
I didn’t realise unis were doing face to face interviews this year. My DD has had a couple of interviews but they have all been virtual, which has the disadvantage of her not being able to see the campus but has saved us the cost of several journeys.

Still no news from the London one.
Gum has ramped up its soreness so definitely calling the dentist tomorrow as soon as they open. My dentist is pretty good at fitting you in, I know what the underlying problem is, so I just need it looked at to see if it needs draining or antibiotics. Can deal with the actual issue at a later date.
Meal out was lovely and nice to see wider family who we haven't seen for a couple of years.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -
