Got an appointment at the dentist, definitely an infection, took an x-ray and given antibiotics. Didn't see my normal dentist, but she agreed that it is likely to need to come out at some point. I have a check up in June so as long as it doesn't get infected again before then I will discuss it with my dentist then. If it does flare up again I will have to arrange a specific appointment with him to discuss what to do. I know he was wary of taking it out as I will probably end up losing the one behind it too, and I have few enough molars as it is! (Six adult ones didn't grow?!)
Anyway had an easy day, signed off early as I am somewhat spaced on pain killers and work was slow.
The boys hospital appointment has been cancelled again. It's a non urgent one, but I had cancelled clients to fit it in, so a bit of an annoyance.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -

Work was way busier today! Lots of trying to figure stuff out too, which my brain wasn't in the best place for! However, while the gum is still massively swollen the pain was much better this morning and didn't wake me last night. Hoping another day of antibiotics will see the swelling begin to reduce.
Two close family members are positive, luckily I didn't mingle too closely with them on Sunday, but we are all LF clear and will keep testing. Fingers crossed we can get to the girls uni interview on Thursday. She is quite nervous I think. She has to take a physical portfolio with her, whereas with her online interview she had already submitted a digital portfolio so it had already been looked at. Will be interesting to see her reaction to this uni as she loved it, but she seems quite set on the other one atm (depending on the London one, which still hasn't contacted her 🙄) the one on Thursday is closer, but way more expensive. But still by the sea, which she is keen on.
Managed to rearrange some clients into tomorrow after hospital cancelled. It a bit of a later start, and Friday will be frantic, not sure I will fit it all in tbh! Will give it a go.
Anyway best go take some painkillers.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -

Well Thursday was lovely. The girls seemed a bit mixed with how the interview went, and when we walked around the town she seemed to almost be convincing herself she didn't want to go there. We walked along the beach which was nice, but I reminded her how crowded it would be in good weather. When we got home we looked at the accommodation again, it's so expensive (for outside London) but I looked into private halls of residence, there are a few which are quite a bit cheaper then the uni run ones, so may be an option. There are two unis in the town so she would maybe end up with students from the other one, but not necessarily a problem.
Friday I had to cancel most of my jobs and go back to the dentist. I knew the infection was out of the tooth, but my gum was ridiculous. No where for all the gunk to go. Dentist had to Lance the lump (quite painful!) And with more antibiotics it is finally back to normal. Have left follow up treatment atm, if I get another infection it will definitely be coming out, but I want to review it with my dentist in June, so fingers crossed we get to then. The fact that he has been concerned since 2014 about the roots in the tooth means while I will hate to lose it, I think we have done well to get this far with it.
Quiet weekend had. Huge wardrobes are all down in our room, tip appointment tomorrow and then the room will be ready to paint. Need to do the ceiling first, have all the stuff for that, and most of the walls. Still desperately need a chest of drawers, still dithering about them 😂😂😂 hubby not impressed all his t shirts are in a box. Tough!
Today the girl had an offer from he uni we went to last Thursday. Dependant on certain exam results though. I thought this would confirm her choosing the unconditional offer, but no, she is now more undecided. And we are still yet to hear from the London uni 🙄🙄🙄 hoping she hears something soon. A decision needs to be made, just to stop it hanging over us. We are off back to the Cornwall one this weekend for another look around the town. Hoping that helps.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -

Well last night I did something stupid. A possible opportunity may have arisen involving a change of jobs. Not sure my availability will suit, but I spoke to someone I used to work with and they were quite encouraging. I loved working in this career but had to leave when the smallest had all his issues in school. But the self employment is killing me right no and if I don't go back to this type of job soon I will probably have to retrain. I also really need to increase my income. But I also love the two days a week I do working from home. Which with having to do the school run really limits my time. So have been up as unable to sleep, thinking things over. Have dug out my qualification certificates and told my friend I may swing by tomorrow to see the manager. She will speak to them today too. Why is being a responsible adult so hard 😭😭😭
I would miss my clients, but ultimately I need to do what is right for our family. Which may be staying put.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉3 -
