Hope they manage to come up with a plan of action that you and all of them are happy with. Sometimes it seems like different departments are pulling in different directions. :o

Do you have anybody to go into the meeting with you, just to listen to what's being said. I find if somebody is talking to me I don't always take things in because as well as listening I'm thinking about what I need to ask. But the person who I've taken with me picks up on a lot more by just sitting there and listening. I've been the listener as well and it's surprising when things are being discussed afterwards what can get missed or forgotten. xx

On the back of all the medical stuff going on with your smallest child, you should be able to register her medical need for warmth with the electricity (and gas) supplier so that these are not cut off. I have just looked at this link on the Ofgem site and the bit about vulnerable situations specifically talks about pre-payment service provision. It says it can be permanent or temporary. Maybe someone else on here has more experience of this?

In the longer term, it might be worth talking to the HA too (especially now you are back in the black with a long-term tenancy) - tell them what happened while you have been in hospital and ask them what options there are for putting in a safety measure.

Re your freezer - the contents should be fine for well over 24 hours with no electricity. Even if some of the contents had started to defrost, the risks are really low if it is re-frozen from that semi-state - it might just look as though it has a bit of freezer burn. The fact that it was undisturbed will have worked in its' favour.

Try not to worry - it is a Scarlet O'Hara thing (from Gone with the Wind) - "I'll think about that tomorrow!"

Thank you SL I will call EDF and ask about that.

I hope the freezer food is okay. I can't afford to replace it :o I'm sure it will be.

Down to the last pennies and no coffee today!

I feel so tired today. I dozed off with DD this morning :o

Going to ask about going home tomorrow after the meeting. They won't be doing anything we can't do at home tomorrow night before we plan to leave Thursday. We can manage better at home.

    Today's day 9

We will be here until Thursday. One of the new meds needs 7 clear days fully monitored.

I've decided on a monitor. Looked at lots and found the most suitable for us. It will make such a difference to what she can do and what we can all do really.

Smalls are asleep. So I'm going to read a book nothing else to update I don't think. Struggling with other stuff. Need to make a GP appointment for myself once we are home. Changed my appointments to next week and I'll need to go next week. I need it.

Hope everyone's okay and I'll be back to catch up on diaries once we are home

    xx

  • Yes it's a very good idea, so do make a GP appointment for yourself Wannabe, it's important that your needs are looked after too. You're doing so much for your children and you must be completely exhausted and drained.

Totally agree with what HHD has said. The DC's depend on you so you need to make sure your well-being is also a priority. Hope you have a good night. Not long now and you'll all be back in your own beds and in your own routine. Hope the meeting with everybody goes OK tomorrow. :) xx
