You haven't come across in any way WB. I just think if you're looking after somebody with long term health needs, and there's equipment out there that can make everybody's life easier, it should be accessible. Which is probably why I'd be useless in a job that dealt with people who needed things as I'd be giving them everything they asked for :o

I'm glad it's more of a want, because these days I'm not convinced you get things even if they're needed. :(

Hope today has been a good one and you're another step nearer to getting home. xx

I hope you get the answers you want very soon for dd, so that you can get home and get her medications right. And get back to some kind of normality for you all.

WF, I've not read your full thread and don't know about the health issues you have with your dd but I just want to say I think you are an amazing mum and I don't know how you manage to keep all the balls in the air! One of my ds's has several health issues, which he has to take daily medication for but that keeps him on a pretty even keel, we don't have the out of hour gp/A&E dashes that you have and I know that stress level I have with him so can't really imagine how you cope with it all.
Anyway just wanted to say You're awesome and I wish you and your family well.

I had a quick google about safety in frozen food when the freezer's been off. The deciding factors seem to be the freezer staying shut (which of course yours was) and the power being out 24 hours or less - which you can't tell. If the freezer is full, it could last 48 hours. Less if half full. If you had any liquids in there that have changed shape (i.e. flowed to the lowest point of the container rather than the shape they were frozen into), that shows you that things defrosted fully and could have been thawed for days. Otherwise it's really hard to tell as they will have gone solid again when the power went back on.

Another way to tell could be if there was build-up of ice on the roof of the freezer and it's still there - but I don't think your housekeeping standards would have allowed a build-up!

If you aren't sure, do get rid of meats, fish, ice cream and other things that contain protein - the high risk foods - but bread should be fine unless anything else has leaked into it.

Hopefully yours was only out for a hour or so, I do feel for you as it can feel such a waste but food poisoning can be really horrible so don't risk it!

    Smalls in school.

No other changes to update. No spends. We walked to school (it's freezing!) Where's the warm gone. It's not raining at least.

On the countdown to getting home and back to being normal now. It's needed for sure

    Have a good day
