If I was you I would be going back to the MP's office & telling of the current situation & pushing for their help now. Just my thoughts.
I agree with that. I can't understand why it's taking so long. Actually, I can't understand why it was refused in the first place.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Tea the equipment we have is okay for what they want. But obviously I have the others to collect from school etc and shopping etc. And the smaller one actually records the numbers for up to 72 hours and can be transferred and saved etc. Useful to back up some things not being taken as seriously as some would like etc.
Speaking of shopping will need to do a small online shop for fresh stuff for Friday to save me trying to sort it with her.
Beanie the MP has been in contact all along. Theres nothing at all can be done by anyone until there's a tribunal date. The same process for everyone else appealing decisions too. Unless there's special circumstances which unfortunately financial reasons aren't one and I'm definitely grateful we don't have any of the other special circumstances.
Smalls have book day Thursday. They are wearing clothes they have so no expense but mustn't forget.
Popped home but electric on. Didn't need gas. Not sure how long the electric had been off!
I don't think I've anything else to update“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Can I jump on the MP bandwagon as well, although I'm not sure how useful yours actually is if all they've been able to offer you is somebody to go with you to appeal......whenever that takes place

You're obviously up to speed with how things work and I'm sure you'd have been able to find that sort of support yourself through other services.
For what it's worth, which is nothing :rotfl: as far as I'm concerned they're falling well short of earning their money at the moment.

We cross posted but I still think the MP could do something to nudge it along.
It sounds like you have an uphill battle with everything tbh from DLA, equipment needed to make like easier and all round general support. I don't know how you do it. xx0 -

Eek! Does this mean you might have lost food from the fridge/freezer?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Tea I've been given lots of places to speak to from lovely people on here and children's services etc regarding the DLA and everyone says the same. Unfortunately our case isn't unique we are a drop in the ocean. There's some much worse than us who need a lot more than us too. Speaking to the charities etc makes me realise just how lucky I am and that definitely is keeping me going right now. The MP has been helpful with where to contact and some other things are going to be provided that haven't been so far. But I won't know exactly what until the care plans complete. But the item I want isn't provided by the NHS for anyone. Only the one we already have x
The equipment isn't a need. We have something that does similar and does enough. Just not enough to make my life easier. I've said since I mentioned it that it's definitely more of a 'want' to make life easier and we can manage with what we've got until I get it. I'm sorry if I've come across differently that wasn't my intention at all. But I do want to get it
and it will make a huge difference to us and how our daily life fits everything else in
Cherry I didn't even look
just put the key back in and left again I'll deal with that when I'm home I'll make sure I sniff everything before I use it anyway

Sorry I disagree about the MP's office.
Im my humble opinion they should be pushing hard for the MR decision to be looked at again by a case manager.

Beanie everyone I've spoken to say it can't be looked at again? From the DWP/CAB etc all the advice has been the same? That once the Mandatory reconsideration decision has been made appealing it is the only option.
Happy to receive other advice on how I get the MR looked into again but as I say every where I've turned too say that isn't an option“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Yes, you do need to appeal , which you have, but in the interim I would be phoning DWP & pushing to speak to a case manager.WannabeFree wrote: »Beanie everyone I've spoken to say it can't be looked at again?
