  • I hope you manage to get home this weekend. Your spending is bound to be higher when you're not at home, it's not your fault and there's nothing you can do about it unfortunately :(.

I run on tea and coffee too so keep drinking it, you've got to keep going somehow :). You're doing reallly well and I don't know you you cope with it all with no help and on such a tight budget.

    Evening

Just waiting to collect the older two. DD is going sleeping at a friend's so only me and DS to feed tonight.

Today's been tough going on us both. Youngests numbers are looking better though so hopefully she will start feeling it soon.

EH going to ask DS about delaying his birthday until we are home. Good idea.

    All the bills are paid

HH I have received quite a lot of help which I really do appreciate or I'm not sure how we'd have got through.

I'm so tired now and have a lot to think about and take in.

    Thank you again

    Xx

    Thank you :)

Everyone's asleep and I'm just enjoying a coffee and some fresh air. It's pouring down! So definitely fresh :rotfl:

DD is staying at her friends until Sunday unless we get home before (doubtful)

I'm really considering purchasing one of the 'medical' items when I get out. For my own peace of mind. It's definitely more of a wanted item than absolute need but it will make so many things easier and portable. Have looked around and bookmarked a few to ask recommendations from the consultant before leaving. Having access to one in here has made my anxiety so much less over certain things as it's so easy to 'check' things. We will still have the one provided for bedtime etc at home as we do in here. But the smaller one will mean less tied to a plug socket when at home/unwell etc. Random. But writing this so I don't forget to ask the consultant which is most reliable.

Anyway rambling with nothing useful so best finish my coffee and try and get some sleep

Thank you again for everything :A

If it makes life easier and less of a worry - it’ll be worth it.
Hope you get some good news soon and ds has a good - maybe ‘mini’ birthday - cards maybe - and a second birthday once home and settled....

    Afternoon

    Thank you Milann

We've had a pretty slow day. Not much happening or changing. Youngest has to be back off oxygen before we will be considered for home and right now she's still on optiflow so I doubt it will be tomorrow either. Good thing is if this doesn't change quickly the consultant is over from the children's doing something else Tuesday and we will see him why we are still here. Some samples have been sent off to see if there's an underlying bug hanging around now she's struggling to get back to normal. A 'normal' antibiotic started which can be switched if needed once the results are back. Her gasses still don't look too happy even on the optiflow so good to check something's not being missed.

Me and DS have had lunch and coffee. Will need to give him some dinner soon. Need to be cautious with money as it's looking like I'll need to book them into before and after school care again this week. He's bored so has been playing on my phone far too much! But there's also drawing/reading being done and he has some homework he can do tomorrow.

We have some more results from things and ideas on things to consider trying going forward. The main things aren't back yet though and could be another 10 days until they are (this won't prevent us going home)

    xx

  • I hope that all the tests and things will be helpful to keeping little DD healthy. You're coping amazingly well and so is DS :T. I'm glad DD is able to be at her friend's house :).

If the medical equipment item gives you peace of mind then it does seem like money very well spent.

I agree. Anything that lowers your anxiety is a need not a want at this time. Hope everything works out. xxx
