Your rent is £114 per week.
You have been paying £21 per week to your landlord since when? Feb 2016?
How much HB has been being paid, and to whom?
What are your total arrears now?0 -
My actual rent was 109 per week plus the 5 for arrears. Was paying this since Feb 2016.
Since coming out of work in September I have been paying 21 per week as was told by the housing benefit
My housing benefit is getting paid straight to one vision.
And is for 356 per every 4 weeks0 -
My total arrears now is 1700 including court costs0
-
That's the thing when I called them to say I had come out of work they didn't say how much to pay.
It was only th housing benefit that worked it out at 16.03 + 5 for arrears0 -

When you went to court and the order for eviction was suspended what amount of arrears did you have? What amount of arrears was set per week by the court? Were these rent arrears accrued whilst you were working?
If your actual rent is £109 per week then that is £436 per 4 weeks.
Your HB is £356 per 4 weeks. Therefore you should have been paying £20 per week to your landlord to cover the rent. This does not include any arrears.
If these figures are correct then you have not been paying off the arrears as set by the court.
This may be because you have been told to pay the wrong amounts by 'whoever'.
You are going to need help to sort this out/ have the court order set aside.
It may be possible to either set up a new payment plan or possibly apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment to cover the arrears.
You are not going to be able to do anything about this until tomorrow morning when you will need to telephone CAB or Shelter so spend today gathering together any evidence of payments/letters/court papers etc so you are ready.
There are hopefully going to be solutions available to you so try to stop worrying.
Are you claiming JSA/ESA/UC? Do you have children? A partner?0 -
I am now claiming esa at 73.10 a week.
Although there was a problem with that and didn't receive a payment until 15th of November.
Yes I have 4 children and I'm a single mother0 -

Ok so what is your rent from April 2017? I would be surprised if it stayed the same.
If it went down then you may be paying a couple of pounds towards arrears a month. If it went up your debt will continue to increase.
You would have had an annual rent statement and rent letter.
Your current rent statement should tell you if your rent has stayed the same since 2016. Has it? You refer to "it was" not "it is"0 -

This isn't the issue. The issue is, based on the figures you have given, you can't have been complying with the court order which is why you will have had the HA apply for a Warrant.
This debt (from what you have said) hasn't occurred because you went on benefits as you already had arrears before September. You say you now have 1700 arrears. How much were they when you original went to court in 2016?
Out of interest why weren't you entitled to full housing benefit? You have 4 children all living at home? No empty bedrooms? This would normally suggest they took other income into consideration0 -
So are you saying that you were already paying off arrears that a court had ordered you to do that you got while you were working?
It sounds to me as if the first order for possession was stayed because you said you would pay off the arrears that you already had from when you were working and you didn't do this which is why the housing association asked for possession? You would have had a meeting with the housing officer to discuss the arrears before the first court hearing. The housing association would have told you then what you need to do. You would have been told the amount of the arrears and how much to pay off them on top of the rent.
Did you stop paying these arrears when you stopped your job? Are there two sets of arrears? The ones from before the first court order and the one from the second?0 -
The amount stayed the same I have not received any statements since my court date except the one I received on the 10th of November. As for my housing benefit I don't know why I am not getting the full amount. I get child benefit. Child tax credit and esa .0
