Have decided to sign up for the Olympic Challenge for £1008. Have therefore decided to stop the August Challenge and concentrate on the Olympic one but I'm going to start from scratch from today. Have got a Natwest STep account with nothing in it so have delegated that account as the Olympic account.

Managed to get through the day without any major arguments but think it was mainly down to the fact that I kept my head down and didn't bother with anybody.

Got home from work and done a few jobs around the house, cleaned the floor in the bathroom, kitchen, dining room and living room so it'll save me some time tomorrow. Have got my Asda delivery coming between 11 and 1 tomorrow and that's the only plan for the day. Have been invited down to J's mums for lunch on SUnday so need to get all the jobs done tomorrow.

Have also managed to find a pile of knitting patterns at my mums which I'm going to try and stick them on e-bay tomorrow and see if they can make me any money.

Have got 8 days off work and am so looking forward to it.....
  • Good luck with challenge. Good to hear you got through the day.

Eight days off sounds lovely. I have another week of w**k to go.

Thanks KP. I'm hoping that whatever I makde in the olympic challenge will go towards a holiday next year. Have been miserable as sin this year as there was nothing to look forward to so I've decided to really make an effort with the challenge and at least get enough to pay for something for next year.

Have had 2 sales on e-bay this morning so that can go towards it. Will add it on when I withdraw from PayPal. Have got loads of odds and ends to list so will concentrate on doing that this week whilst I'm off.

The money front is looking pretty dire at the moment, too much month for the money. Not paid my poll tax or water rates for this month so really need to get myself sorted!

Good morning all, first day of my week off and I feel awful. Have not had enough sleep over the weekend so went to bed early last night. DS woke up at 3 am and was sick everywhere :( He's fine this morning but it took me ages to clean it all up and put bed linen in the washing machine. Just what you want to be doing at 3 am!!!

Despite having a good weekend with J I feel really down in the dumps. I'm looking around the house and there seems to be so much to do yet I've not got the energy or motivation to do it. Am sitting here still in my pyjamas and can see no reason to get dressed today.

I know whats bothering me its the fact that everything is going so well for me at the moment that I'm just waiting for someone to come and pull the rug from under me and knock me back down again. Can feel my guard becoming a barrier between me and J and I have got to be so careful because I tend to push people away when that happens. I always seem to be trying not to get hurt by people. Stupid isn't it.

Right I need to get a grip and have set myself 2 jobs for today. The first job is to put some filler in a nail hole that's in the living room and the second job is to remove and break down a cupboard in DD's bedroom. Off to make a start.

    Catch you all later x
  • Its your first day off so take it easy and then maybe tomorrow do a list of stuff you would like to get done.

Hope you feel better soon. Please try not to worry about something that most likely wont happen. Enjoy the good times you deserve them.

Thanks Wendy. I've got to be so careful, normally when I can feel myself getting to involved in a relationship I panic and run away. Luckily J knows that I'm like this and he's understanding. I was so down when I got home last night that he guessed something was wrong so I text him this morning and just said - Sorry for being sad last night, everything going well and panic is setting in, I'm getting ready to do a runner! Luckily he understood and he phoned me earlier and reassured me that all is well and invited me out with him on Wednesday. It's his one and only day off this week and he's got to build some cupboards for his brother so I know his time is limited but he still wanted to be with me so I feel better now. I'm no good at all at DIY but at least I can keep him company, keep him watered and fed and tidy up if needs be. Feel lots better now.

I've managed a NSD today and can'y quite believe it. I've just taken my mum down to her friends and she insisted that I stop in the petrol station and she put £40 worth of petrol in the car for me. That's a massive help for me.

Going to the local M&S tomorrow to do the uniform shop. Am dreading it. Again mum is going to pay for it on her M&S card (so she can get the points) abd I'll pay her back when she gets the statement. Thanks mum!
  • Arent Mums great!

They certainly are Wendy. Am nearly ready to go but still feel really tired. Don't know what's the matter with me. Was in bed quite early last night so have got no excuse.

Sold another item on e-bay last night and the man is picking the stuff up tonight so that's £10 to see me through the next few days :)

Have invited J up for tea tonight so think I'll get something nice in M&S and I'm going to spend a few hours with him tomorrowso that's something to look forward to.

Off now catch you all later after the uniform shop!!!

Can't believe it's Wednesday already (and a lotto rollover tonight, fingers crossed). Spent a fortune in M&S yesterday £252 but I had nearly everything so was quite pleased with that. My uncle gave me £100 towards it and mum said she'd go half with the remaining £152 so was really pleased with that. I did spend £35 on myself as the Per Una sale started yesterday morning and I had 2 tops half price down to £19 each.

J stayed last night and I cooked a nice meal am going to meet him at his house at 11.15 (once I get the kids breakfasted and DS out with the boys and DD at her friends). Don't plan on spending any money today. Still quite traumatised at the amount I spent yesterday :)

Hope you all have a nice day, catch you later x

Hi GR...really pleased that you and J are spending some quality time together. Hope he agrees to the holiday, it sounds like what you both need.
Hope we do well on the lottery tonight, fingers crossed.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.
