Monday morning again. Only got this week in work then I've got a whole week off wayhay. I'm in desperate need of some tme off and really can't wait.

Have managed to see a few things over the weekend so have got some parcels to drop off at the post office this morning. Have also got about 4 items which I'm waiting payment on.

Feeling on a high this morning. Have had such a good relaxing weekend that my mood has definitely improved. Also had a lovely text last night off J, he thanked me for everything I do for him and he thanked me for a lovely weekend :)
  • I am so happy you had a great weekend. Hope it carries though the week as well. Sounds like your Aug Challenge total is about to go up as well.

4 more days in work and then I get a week off :)

Money not looking too bad at the moment. I was really worried about this month but I seem to be keeping on top of everything. Of course, I wouldn't say no to a bit more money but the month is not proving to be as tough as I thought it would be. AM going to pop to Next on the way to work this morning as I want to get a gift card for J's birthday. His birthday isn't until the 25th but as I have the money now I'm going to get it before I fritter it away on unnecessary spends.

E-Bay and Amzaon are ticking away ever so slowly but at least it's still making me some pennies. Got another 3 parcels to post off this morning and got another 3 that I'm waiting payment on.

Have got a money tin in work and I've been saving all my silver in it for the last few weeks. Counted it yesterdan and there was £35.10 in there. Couldn't believe it. Going to keep plodding away at it and hopefully if J decided to go away for a few days that money will come towards some spending money. If he does decide to go away I've got a feeling he's going to insist on paying for the cabin. IT's only £245 for 5 days and it has an outdoor hot-tub, microwave, dishwasher- the works. If he does insist on this then I'll provide the money for petrol, food and days out. I really hope he's going to agree to it!!!!!

Off to work now. Catch you all later x
  • 3 more days and you have a week off :j

Hope today went well. Good news that August has been kinder to you than expected.

Thanks Wendy. Am hoping that I can keep afloat for the next few weeks. Just had the electricity bill which is £90. Not bad. I suppose it could be worse! Am still plodding with e-bay although very little happening there.

Not in the best of moods today have had words with ex hubby and it's left me feeling a bit down. I look at him now and I can't see why on earth I married him. I dont hate him but I can't understand how he can be so nasty to me. Had a late night last night and I'm tired so I'm hoping that once I get some sleep I'll see things in a different light!

Blinking men, can't live with them, can't live without them!
  • Agree with that last statement. OH in good books at the mo gave me a lovely back rub last night. Its that dreaded time of the month again and my back plays up. Nothing to do with the extra weight piling on of course :o .

Hope you do get the chance to rest its so important. Ignore Ex he knows you are better off without him and just doesnt like it.

Your so right Wendy. I finally told him that J was staying here on a regular basis. He's having the kids on the Sunday of the BH weekend and I wanted him to know before then so that the kids don't feel awkward when he questions them about me (which he does on a regular basis).

We have the same argument every year. He want's to spend more time with the children but they dont want to go for weekends with him. They are quite happy about the monthly day out but don't want anything more. I've told him that its what the children want thats important but he thinks I should 'persuade' them to stay for weekends with him! He even wants me to meeti him half way with the kids. I'm in SOuth Wales and he's in Sheffield. Not only is he giving me £200 less than he should every month he now wants me to spend what little money he gives me on petrol taking the kids to him. This man is living on a completely different planet to me!

After having an absolutely dreadful day yesterday I've got up this morning in fighting spirit. It is the last day that I'm in work as I've got the week off next week and I'm going to grin and bear it!!!

So much for me thinking that I was doing well with the money situation, everything seems to have come at once now and I'm not feeling so confident about it all. I think the only answer is to withdraw some from the savings but I'm so loath to do it. What is the matter with me. I'm scared to spend money!!!!!
