Hello
Update Update I wanna see the latest figure GR!
Yep right about the weather pretty much poor all week. Friday was the best day made it to the beach where temp was 20-24 max. Kids had a great time though in their cossies whilst OH and I sat there in our jackets?!
I have mixed feeling about the holiday, would have been nice to have better weather so could spend a couple more cheaper days on the beach and not have to put tent up in pouring rain and then take a soggy tent down although not rained that time.
Will update my diary later after Ive been brave enough to work out the financial damage.
Sorry you have been feeling low this week GR, Dizzy is right J is with you for a reason and hopeully come the 2nd youll be booking a nice break away together. You really deserve it after all your hard work this year.:j0 -
Thanks girls for your kind words of support. SPoke to J on Saturday and he was really down but invited me down to stay. Just before I went down his house I discovered there was a wasps nest in my chimney breast and the wasps were coming into the house through the vents. Had a massive panic and crying fitthen closed then realised that if I closed the vents they wouldn't be able to get into the house. Then decided to have a shower and turned the water on and it sounded as if the boiler was falling off the wall. As this point I telephoned my mum and had a crying fit on the phone.
Mum being mum packed me off to J's, locked the house up and took the kids to her house, told me to go and enjoy myself and she'd sort everything out. I eventually turned up on his doorstep with a tearstained face and looking 'different' as he told me. I thought I looked like sh1te but he was being polite. Needless to say I've had a fabulous time and even though I'm back home, can still hear the wasps in the chimney breast and plan on sleeping on the sofa tonight as they were getting into my bedroom I'm feeling alot more positive. Will phone the council tomorrow morning and ask them to come and sort out the wasps as a matter of urgency. Have had such a good time that not even they can make me feel miserable.
The total for the olympic challenge was £93 when I totalled everything up yesterday but I've got a cheque for £19.49 and another cheque for £32 that need to be paid in so I'm off to a good start.
Glad you had a good holiday Wendy, I broached the subject of a few days away again today and he's going to book some annual leave off work and we'll go from there!!!!0 -
Not been on here for a few days, been really busy. Got rid of the bees ad sorted out the central heating. Have also painted the bedroom, bought a new wardrobe and changed the voiles in the bedroom.
Am going out for a meal with the girls tomorrow, got a mystery shopping assignment on Saturday and staying down J's on Saturday night and out shopping with him on Sunday so lots going on.
Diz - hope everything is well with you and you've settled back into the school routine
Wendy - have you recovered from the holiday?
Hopefully catch you both later. GR x0 -
Hello hun  I'm like you and not updated for a while. Have been on the Big Brother thread which is very cathartic
You've been busy haven't you. Can I have some of your energy GR? I didn't really do much in the hols and it flew by as usual. Enjoying my first Friday off too. Went with OH this morning on an appointment and this afternoon I'm going to have a tidy. Thrilling eh?!
Things seem to be ticking along nicely with J. That's lovely to hear. You've got a hectic weekend but they're the best and at least you'll feel like you've had a good weekend.
Maybe catch you later.

Hey Diz I forgot that you were now doing a 4 day week. I bet it's lovely having an extra day off
Well the rain in Wales has been horrendous today, was supposed to go for a meal tonight with the girls but so many places have flooded we've been forced to cancel it. Luckily I live up a hill and it's clear for me but the village below me is absolutely horrendous. Kids sent home from school half day as well.
E-bay ticking along nicely but nothing from Amazon for a while so the money making is a bit slow this month.
As for J, been speaking again about going away for a few days and I think I've got him onto the idea. His mum has been giving his a hard time about it as well so hopefully he'll book some annual leave and we can get it booked.
Feel quite sad niw that I'm not going out tonight, have been to the local shop and bought myself some nice food to cook at home. Not brilliant but better than the usual stuff in the freezer
Gonna catch up on some of the threadsnow, catch you all later x0 -
Hello
I was thinking of you with the weather reports about south wales GR. Glad to hear you arent affected personnally. Must be a nightmare for those who are on lower ground.
Keeping on prodding J Im sure he will get there in the end. Pain about cancelling a night out they can be such fun. Make sure a new date booked ASAP.:j0 -
That is scary GR. We're on a steep lane and when it pours and you watch all the rain whooshing by it's pretty frightening.
You really need to get yourself away with J for some quality time. It's been building up to this anyway...can you imagine the brilliant time you'd have!!!
Aah...I'm just a romantic at heart
Fingers crossed for the Euro Millions tonight for us all as well.
Off now to settle down for Big Brother. OH thinks we're potty for liking it...well he's right there.
Enjoy tonight GR...it is cozy though, snuggling down when the weather's like this.

Thanks girls. How sad am I sitting in on a Friday night eating cadbury chocolate trifle wearing my warm jimjams and watching eastenders. I feel really old!!!!!0

It's Saturday morning and I've got an absolute mountain of work to do today so in 'Wendy' fashion I'm going tolist the jobs and tick them off as they get done:
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen
Clean dining room
Clean Living room
Burn Rubbish (Weather permitting!!!)
Washing
Ironing
Mystery shop
Asda's
Post e-bay sale
Think that's about it. Have got up nice and early to try and get it all done.0 -
Hi GR...Monday again. Hope your weekend was a good one.
How was work? Hope you know who wasn't in...
I'm so tired today, will try to get back into some sort of a routine.
I don't feel very motivated at the moment, do you? Wonder if it's the weather. Think my body is getting ready to hibernate, if only!
