    Based on average usage patterns, we take a slightly higher Direct Debit in the cooler months, and a lower Direct Debit in the warmer months.
    We review your balance every six months, but if you build up credit or debit, you can ask us to change it sooner.
    The second generation smart meters (which we'll be providing to our Members in 2019) will of course lead to more accurate payments, based on more accurate usage.

  • Agree with Peter. The meter number looked wrong. Bot was useless. Said I would get a call back in a couple of days but didn't. Cancelled switch, and then was advised to cancel DD with bank. Got a call a couple of days later from someone who sounded like a small child asking why my DD had failed. Explained that they had advised me to cancel it, and I am sure she had no idea what I was talking about when I said why I had cancelled in the first place. Sticking with Bulb for now.

    I notice PP have pointed out on here that in-app help works well in banking. Yes, when it's human. I am not aware of any banks trying to use bots - I certainly wouldn't use them, but I do use Monzo which is awesome.

  • Thanks to everyone for all these reviews.
    Pure Planet looks like it will be a good deal for me in the future, especially given competitive pricing and green credentials. It looks like a decent business model and I can easily understand the pricing model, although I agree that the ability to average payments over the year would be beneficial to many - maybe something to consider once people have a years 'membership' and have a history that can be assessed.

    However there do seem to be some growing pains highlighted in the reviews - I'll stick with current supplier for one more fixed year deal and then strongly consider for next year if these technical issues seem to be resolved.

    Fair play to Marc though - for a company that people are complaining about the lack of customer service of he does seem to put the work in.
