Mozilla claims its updated web browser is twice as fast as its last one, and uses a lot less memory than the competition—Google Chrome in particular. It’s called Firefox Quantum, and it might give the web’s most popular web browser a run for its money.

My brother in Canada left me an email this morning saying he has it and seems to like it. Now he was not a fan of Firefox even though he did download it. Prefers Chrome.

I haven't got it yet, well no updates from them since over a week ago?

I'm impressed. Media-rich sites seem to load noticeably quicker.

Quite a few add-ons aren't compatible, but I've found replacements for most of them. uMatrix seems like a great replacement for NoScript.

Well it arrived with me about 30 minutes ago.

One moan from me, my bookmarks all had separate folders such as shopping etc. Now I have one long list of all bookmarks. Will have nose and see about getting the folders back.:p

Been using it since yesterday, seems OK but I will have to find a new cookie manager I have just been trying "Cookie AutoDelete" and it doesn't seem to do the job.
If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!

I am suddenly getting this message when I click open Firefox.

[Exception... "Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0 [nsISupports.QueryInterface]" nsresult: "0x80570009 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS)" location: "JS frame :: resource://cck2/Preferences.jsm :: get _prefSvc :: line 544" data: no]

    With a yellow triangle.

Anyone know what it is and how to make it go away.

    Please very simple instructions.

Do you have loads of bookmarks, scattered all over the place? I did, been meaning to sort them for ages. Last night I downloaded 57 (which was faster immediately, but not as much as hoped) and set about Bookmarks. Deleted many sites I no longer use (or can visit whenever) and sorted more into folders on a 'like for like' basis.

    NOW it's much faster!

I have not lost any Addons or Plugins, but I keep my eyes on them anyway. As they become "Legacy" I remove and look for newer, up to date alternatives.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
